You will not get a refund at all. Bought a flight tickets with AirAsia in Jan-2020, but it got cancelled due to Covid-19. Requested for a refund back to credit card but failed, they will give excuses just not giving back the refund, instead they offered with credit account which I will never use it again.
Air Asia have done everything in there power and used every trick in the book not to give a refund. They cancelled 2 flights for me and my wife and they are supposed to refund in 4 weeks. We have waited 6 months. They delete complaints lodged and refuse to acknowledge they will refund or not refund. They delete communication when asking for a refund and reduse to answer complaints. It is very difficult to lodge complaints and they withhold information This is a terrible airline that treats loyal customers terribly. Be warned... Use another airline.. In this case the flights are not cheap and if airasia cancel flights or their schedule you will lose your money even if its there fault. Be warned...
Do not book with this airline. Utterly dreadful. Promised a refund for a flight they cancelled and they do every trick in the book to not pay. All they will give now is a credit note. I will not be using them and would not recommend them to anyone.....utterly utterly awful airline!!
If I could give them no stars, I would. AirAsia are now ignoring me after refusing to refund me for 3 flights which THEY CANCELLED. Under UK law I am entitled to a full money refund and do not have to accept credit, as much as they would like to try make people think otherwise. AirAsia have very bad customer service. Never ever book with them. I book my parents flight with with. Their flight was cancelled by AirAsia not by us. They are not giving back my refund.
Don't accept the credit. Cancelled my flight and offered a refund (pre-covid). Since then they have tried to convince me to accept a credit instead and they have stalled with giving me my refund. They were only 20$ cheaper for this trip compared to another company that I was supposed to fly another leg of my trip with. And that company has already given me my money back months ago because Airasia cancelled this part of the trip. If you accept the credit you change the terms of your initial deal and you are now subject to their new terms. By not accepting the credit they are still obligated to the conditions of your initial contract. You can demand your money back through the bank that handled the transaction. You can demand the money back through the card company if you paid via Visa, Mastercard etc.
They are worse as hell . I am never going to travel with them again and would suggest a big no to Air Asia for everyone.
Amritsar to Melbourne via Kuala Lumpur booked for April 2020. I’m still waiting for my ticket canceled money they didn’t refund ticket money ticket was canceled from AirAsia because Covid-19.
Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur. Do not use this company. My flight was cancelled for Covid 19 in April, and they will not refund for flights they cancelled and the insurance they provide does not cover this either.

I was made the booking through make my trip but airline didn’t operate the flight when i ask for refund as per make my trip airlines not ready to pay full amount of my booking. After this I try to contact with airline but which no is mention on site that is not working i send them mail no response i got i send msg in support whats app number there also no revert i chat with airline online they just showing we will connect you with our live team which they never connected Right now I don’t know whom i have to contact i very unhappy with the airline might be i will never travel with airasia.

Then due the Lockdown my airport has been closed. I wanted to contact customer Service, but There was no chance to reach someone There. As instructed on their website, I used AVA thing to cancel Our flight, then I had to buy new tickets again. Of course before cancelation I've been informed that I'll get a refund. Till today (since march) I didn't get a penny (I've been told I have to wait maximum 12 weeks. What I'm recieveing, is only a tens of messages from them with informations "How great they are" and What a flights they offer Just "Perfect for me". So Think twice before You make a booking with Air Asia!!!!

I made a refund request because I could not fly with them because of the crisis covid 19 refunded after a day, fast and professional ..... obviously I will fly with them again in the future..as I have always done...... I have never been disappointed by them,good company
Do yourself a favour do not fly with Airasia. Their customer service is non existent,If you try and contact a human, there is no answer.(just Ava) I've applied for a refund in early March and I am still waiting, definitely getting the run around. I will definitly be telling everone not to fly Airasia.
Worst possible service. Since they cancelled my flight it has been a nightmare to get a refund (what I didn't get). It is not possible to speak with a human, the chat on the website is terrible and the emails look like a joke because they tell you that it is solved something that it is not. I wouldn't never fly with them
I booked several tickets for my friends from CGK (Jakarta, Indonesia) to PVG (Shanghai, China) yesterday. The flights will be on 7/31/2020. Today I decided to cancel these bookings due to COVD-19. AirAsia did not allow me to cancel any of my bookings even though these flights are in more than 50 days. I checked the other options AirAsia offered, one is to change travel date, I was responsible for the difference in airfare, or AirAsia holds my credits for future AirAsia flights for a certain time period, AirAsia does not refund! Be aware of AirAsia
I think the title of my review says it all after repeated requests all denied ITS BASICALLY FRAUD SIMPLY CANNOT ACCEPT NEITHER A REFUND OR AT LEAST A CREDIT is appropriate so NEVER will I ever travel with such a dishonest idea, Imagine ordering dinner paying for it and then the kitchen closes and your told get out of the restaurant.
AirAsia won't refund me after canceling my flight in February, not even accepting my request for rescheduling with them since I asked initially a refund, it would have been my first flight but instead I had to fly with HK Express and my bank refunded me the money AirAsia stole in the end from me, for not even providing the service they were supposed to provide. Terrible customer service for being an international airline, can only contact them by chat after waiting an average of 90 minutes for them to connect with an agent who will do nothing but tell you AirAsia holds its right to take any action. And today after more than obviously 30 working days from AirAsia awaiting for a refund, coincidentally on the day I was supposed to fly, I get their email that I won't fly with them. Well, I will never for sure, glad your fleet is grounded, we are not in this together, hopefully you are left alone and have to sell all your planes!!! Remember people, when airlines like AirAsia didn't care about their customers and are now asking for clemency and understanding, when they would not let you board the plane with +2kg on your carry on, this is their karma. Hope your workers go to a better airline like Cathay Pacific after you disappear.
Due to a family death we had to cancel our trip. Unfortunately Air Asia is virtually uncontactable. They do not have a valid Australian phone number that is answered, their online chat site still did not open after 3 hours of waiting. When I eventually found a email site there has been no response for almost 2 weeks. All other Airlines that we had booked through have responded quickly. We have not travelled but I selected May 2020 as this form demands a travel date.
