Flight No: AS 1357. There is very limited leg room on this seat as it is located right behind the crew seat. I think there is a flaw on the design. Please avoid this seat whenever possible.
Although the Airbus seems a bit narrower than the Boeing 737's, I have to admit I loved the fancy leather recliner seats in 1C. Also, the bulkheads are see through so the first row appears more open. There is massive legroom. The tradeoff is a little narrower center armrest than the Boeing aircraft in first class but still plenty of room. A beautiful flight, well worth the extra cost of a first class ticket or upgrade!
Positive: the seat is the old Virgin America white leather recliner - extremely comfortable. Negative: Be warned that Alaska provides a very thin "blanket" (more like a bed sheet doubled up) and NO pillow. They really can't find storage for 8 real blankets and pillows for its first class passengers?
LOVE the old Virgin F seats. These blow standard domestic F seats out of the water 7 days a week. I will continue to book Alaska A320s over their 737s till the white leather seats (Airbus) are fully phased out. :(
