Reviews
I fly with GA extremely regularly on the LHR - BAH route. Pretty much every other month. The aircraft are brand new. Both in in Falcon Gold and economy. My favourite seat is 40A which I get pretty much each time. Its the over wing exit seat so totally nothing in front. You can pre book this row for an additional £40 per flight (LHR to BAH) but I don't bother. The only downsides are: The annoying headrest that is in no way comfortable and the shear misery of the flight attendants. They seem to always be happy in Falcon Gold.
Excellent aeroplane, environment and services
The Gulf Air 787-9 are brand new aircrafts with fantastic legroom and comfort in economy. First modern aircraft ive flown without the annoying entertainment box under your seat. Every seat is ''box free'' so you get full legroom, so no bad seats. Entertainment touchscreen large and variety of movies ( although maybe not as extensive as other airlines). This aircraft feels spacious, new and I have had very comfortable flights between London and Bahrain. Food service is average and crew helpful but not the best compared to other airlines in middle east. All in all a great plane to fly with and would recommend the 787-9 with Gulf Air
Excellent service and the best business class seat I have tried, an open suite with aisle access for every seat.
Very comfortable economy seats with lots of legroom. Large IFE with a USB and Universal Outlet per seat. New aircraft in perfect condition.
First time to fly on Gulf`s 787, with direct aisle access from window seat this is a game changer, move over other Middle East carriers you have trumped! The seat its self is comfortable and reclines to give a full flat bed, mattress provided. I opted for the main of lamb shank, cooked to perfection, and made many choices from the sweet trolley. For me the choice of entertainment didn't inspire me, but that's me, i couldn't find anything that i liked, (maybe i am too fussy) The IFE system is touch control, however to operate one would have to leave the comfort of the seat, there is a hand held device which will control and can be watched. Afternoon tea was served, a must is the scone, jam & cream,. When asked by the in flight chef what my choice of drink is throughout the flight this flowed endlessly. Flight crew couldn't have done anymore than they did, i have flown many carriers over the years and this team are up their at the top. Well Done Gulf air in times of trouble for your competitors flying the London to Middle East route, you have it !
