Wow- these seats were awful! And I'm generally a non-complainer for any seat. We paid $20 each for 3 seats to "upgrade" to 3 of the 4 front seats. Total waste of money - the "upgraded" seats were quite literally worse than the regular seats. $60 totally wasted. First of all, there is LESS legroom for these seats. For row 2, for example, you can stretch your legs to put them slightly under the seat ahead of you. For row 1, there is a big metal wall in front of you. I couldn't straighten my legs more than a 90 degree angle. So uncomfortable and it didn't help that I was sitting there wondering how anyone labeled it an upgraded seat and offered me the privilege of paying $20 extra for it. Glad the flight was short or this would have been unbearable. No way to stretch into the tiny aisle either - the flight attendant would have been tripped instantly or I'd have been bashed with the cart. Secondly, I was traveling with my 4 year old, so even on these tiny old planes, it's generally comfortable, because I can encroach on his space a tiny bit if needed. Not on this plane! There are huge thick metal dividers between each seat. So, he couldn't snuggle up to me when he was freezing, and I couldn't take advantage of his unused inches. I believe (but didn't check) that the seat dividers contained the tray tables, since there were none in front of us. Third, the plane itself is uncomfortable. So hot and stuffy on the runway (we boarded from the ground because it's a tiny plane). Then freeeezing while flying, even with the air vents turned off and facing away from us. Just the worst flight I've been on. The plane doesn't provide much confidence- it looks old and makes you worry about maintenance. Every time we hit turbulence, the mood of the plane seemed highly stressed. Sitting in the front, you're staring directly at the flight attendant (who did close the curtain for most of it). No place to set your cups or devices. Honestly, just a terrible and uncomfortable flight and in no way are these front seats to be considered an upgrade. The guy in the 4th of our seats moved to the back mid-flight probably because he had long legs. Hope he hadn't paid $20 for the privilege! Air Canada had some big failures during our two flights with them on this trip but these upgraded seats were just the worst.

Well I flew from YYZ-MSP on board this aircraft. The flight was supposed to be operated by a CRJ-705 however the aircraft changed without waring after I pre booked a seat. Im 6 foot 5 and after a terrible 7 hour flight from Edinburgh this was not the most comfortable flight to go onto. However the service onboard was frankly outstanding. The stewardess was always in the aisle making sure everything was fine (topping up drinks etc) and was a relatively smooth ride. However avoid rows 12A&B and row 13 as the restroom is directly next to you and a constant stream of passengers may get annoying. Overall though a very good flight.

This plane is awesome. It's small -- so loading on/loading off takes only minutes. The rear-mounted engines make this plane silent when it flies. No engine noise what so-ever. I've never slept so easy on a plane because of the dead silence when its airborne. Windows are placed a bit infront of the seats -- so if you're hoping to look out you'll have to lean forward. The plus side is there is an empty panel(no window) for leaning against if you have a window seat. Always take this plane over a dash. So much more smooth and quiet! Love the Crj!

This aircraft is overall exellent for the size. This seat is marked red because limited recline and close to lavratory, i would say that it didnt mater that it didnt recline because it wasnt a long flight and the lavratory was not anoying at all ..... The service was good.... I would rate the flight 9/10
