Closest thing to a coffin i have ever experienced. At least, unlike other middle seats, i did not have to climb over sleeping passengers. Limited in-seat storage. Hate the fact that BA does not offer an integral flat bad arrangement, but that silly footstool thing. For Business Class, this cabin is far too cramped. A 2-2-2 as opposed to the 2-3-2 seating arrangement would have been far more comfortable. I opted to fly BA Club World as they now fly direct to my destination - King Shaka. This effectively shaves plenty of time off my previous Emirates dog-leg flight. But to be honest, I’d rather have a longer, two-legged flight in comfort than experience this again. Facing backwards does not worry me at all, but the constant flashing of the toilet occupied light was in clear line of sight and kept waking me up. And what’s with no Wifi on this flight. Food choice was also very limited. Return flight tomorrow in 3A, window seat, daytime flight. Will report back on that, but as it stands, i think i’m going to opt for Emirates again.
Terrible seat. Not enough room. The seat pitch is lousy and so is the elbow room. I usually upgrade to economy comfort but was not able to do so on this flight. Had a terrible time getting out of this seat to use the restroom with the seats in front of me reclined. Spilled my supper when the guy next to me bumped my elbow while eating. Worst transatlantic flight I have ever been on.
I was in 2F on the flight from LHR to New Orleans. There is limited overhead bin stowage for this seat and zero overhead bin stowage for seat 1F. This information is not readily available and is inconvenient for someone taking onboard a reasonable sized roller case.
We travelled with assistance dog in cabine.
HUGE infotainment box takes 30% of available lateral legroom. Totally UNACCEPTABLE in a 150 MUSD aircraft ! The persons who made this decision do not travel in Economy long haul. NOT COMPETITIVE !!
I was nervous about this seat after seeing the "red" review here. The airline assigned me the seat and the flight was sold out, so I couldn't switch it. No need to worry though- the reviews were wring. Flew New Orleans to London nonstop in this seat. The legroom in this economy cabin isn't terrific, BUT there definitely IS a window AND there is no seat behind this one, so you can recline without concern for others. It's a bit bouncy since you're near the tail, but it's a 'green' seat to me.
Recently sat in 22F on flight 0249 from GIG-LHR. Leg room is impacted by 'On Demand' entertainment unit located under seat in front. Seat recline is enough to get you into a comfortable resting/sleeping position. However BA headrest is AWFUL - non adjustable and dreadfully uncomfortable. Other airlines such as Delta, LATAM or American ALL have adjustable 'wing' style headrests. Sort this out BA as your reputation won't keep customers forever.
Disgusting layout for a business class. The person in the middle seat has to climb over this (or the other side) seat to get aisle access. Very little storage or privacy. Never again, BA.
Forgot to add - this seat is at the back of business class. So don't expect to get your first choice of meal. They ran out of the best choice about half way down. Well done, BA. Maybe this is why somebody would pay for seat selection?
I always prefer a window seat as I love geography so day and night I can observe all the different countries below. Seat 31K was chosen for the window seat and being close to the toilets and getting served fairly quickly with food and drinks. The window is slightly misaligned so in future I will book seat 32A as the window looks perfectly aligned. Pity though as the person in front reclined his seat my tray is in contact with my stomach, I am not your average size person so I cant complain.
3A is a mixed bag if a seat. Positves: direct isle access, window seat and great view of the engine/wing. Negatives: noisy as near galley. Very noisy!
Terrible seat. The entertainment box severely restricts legroom, which is already restricted because it is an aisle seat. Also, note that it appears that every economy D and F seat has a entertainment box getting in the way. The movable headrest doesn't stay in place (it appeared every seat suffered from this.) Probably the most uncomfortable flight I have ever taken.
In the side sections of row 38 the arm rests do not lift
Because of the fixed box under the seat in front (34A) you cannot stretch out your left leg which is very uncomfortable for a long haul night flight
Seats DEF in rows 39, 40 &41 no overhead luggage space allocated for passengers. In these seats you can hear the toilet flushing.
Great seat, a bit of extra legroom but still reclined as much as the others in World Traveller. Very occasional queues for the toilets by your elbow but the toilets were on the opposite side of a gangway so no unpleasant odours! Downside: always the last on the aircraft to be served food.
Only good if the people in front don't fully recline their seats. I was unable to get out of my seat due to the rude people in front (one a child) fully reclining their seats and not moving them up when asked so I could go to the toilet. The young girl next to me had to leave her seat and I slid across both seats. I would not take a window seat again unless I knew the person next to me. I would also be more vocal with the lazy Dad who couldn't even work how to move the seat back into the upright position!
Very narrow legroom, as there's a box on the floor that leaves maybe 12CM width for the legroom
Having read the awful reviews from so many economy passengers, I was nervous at best. However I was pleasantly surprised. No AV box under H seats, so plenty of leg room. Yes, the seats are narrow, but in fairness, it felt less cramped than Emirates 777 with in a 3-4-3 configuration. Service was good (for BA) with a cheerful & attentive crew.
