My wife and I have been trying to get out of Jordan for many months now. Finally, we were able to get on a repatriation flight through Qatar airways. When we arrived to A,,an Airport, it was chaos, hundreds of people waiting outside the airport entrance to get in. This only added to the anxiety. However, once we got to the Qatar Airways check in, everything was very professional. We checked in online which sped up the process. Our baggage was several kgs overweight, so we needed to rearrange our packing. When we were doing this Khalil the duty manager came over and told us not to worry about the extra weight and he allowed it through. This was a lovely gesture and we were very grateful. The service before and when we got on the plane was top class. All the safety equipment was provided and the cabin crew were professional but at the same time friendly and warm, which is really important during these difficult times. On a final note there was a very ill man on the flight from Doha to Bangkok, one of the cabin crew stayed by his side for most of the flight while also carrying out her other duties. She was a very pleasant lady, I never got her name but she did a great job.
My mother had her trip scheduled for the 21st of August 2020 because they were giving priority to people that were willing to pay last minute for business class seats. This is extortion. They told us if she wants a secure seat in business class for the 13th of September then she would need to pay and additional 4000 euro , otherwise the next available economy flight is 23 rd of October . Ive read other reviews on this site and around the internet and there is an abundance of people that have had their tickets cancelled numerous times unless they want to pay business class seats. This is an example of poor customer service and how to extort money out of people. I would NEVER travel with them. If this is not enough , this is non top of the fact that we paid business class to get my mother from Melbourne to Larnaca back in February given this was her first time traveling alone and we wanted to ensure she had no issues at airports. Well to our surprise, Qatar Airways regardless of the fact that mum was a wheelchair bound and business class customer, decided to not wait for her to be wheeled across the airport to her gate and left without her and other wheelchair bound customers. I rest my case,
Booked first class super expensive tickets there and back. Wanted to make sure me and my husband are sitting together, the website is no working and giving an error when trying to look up our flight. The 1800 number is disconnected and called the Qatar customer number, which is an international call and nobody picked up for 30 min. Spent over 10k in tickets and can’t get a hold of anybody. Never again. Should’ve gone to a destination where they have American Airlines!!!!
Nothing less than incredible when dealing with infants. My wife and our infant of 11 months took a 6 hour flight with a transit, then 2.5 hours further to her destination. Staff were attentive, helpful at all times, came to check in, fixed hot water, cold water, helped bring hand luggage from the overhead cabin countless of times throughout the trip and also helped rearrange seats.
Qatar Airways you are a disgrace.. you have left me wife and child (4 months old by the way )stranded in Ireland twice now trying to return to Australia. You put people with money before anything else. “Rely on us when you need to fly and travel safely with an airline you can trust” This couldn’t be further from the truth. My family were given no notice, arrived at the airport left standing for 4 hrs in tears and your ground staff just walk away. You blame the Australian government trying to fob people off that it was a decision made here instead it has clearly been seen that you allow people book business class at the last minute and remove people waiting weeks to get home. I know we are in hard time and flights are scarce but you have showed the the true meaning of corporate greed. Why am I even writing this? Prob just to vent my anger but hopefully let people be aware of your true meaning!! DISGRACEFUL Qatar airlines just disgraceful
Be aware when booking! My partner has had her economy flight cancelled three times now, and has been forced to upgrade to Business. Qatar cancelled all three bookings only a few days before scheduled flight citing cancellation, however all 3 flights seemingly took off. Extremely un-helpful Customer Service. Both aircraft were excellently fitted out and the service was friendly, helpful and top-class throughout, despite the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 measures. Pre-flight service from both Doha Customer Service and, in particular, the ground staff at Milan-Malpensa was faultless. I was bumped from a previous flight by the Australian Border Force, despite having the correct NSW Health transit exemption paperwork (which NSW Health later admitted and apologized for). That time, the check-in staff at Milan-Malpensa bent over backwards in an effort to allow me to board but in the end, could not prevail, through no fault of their own. I was a very frequent traveller until recently (all airlines); I rank my recent flight experience with Qatar Airways amongst the best that I can recall.
Great and friendly service during this special trip which contained several inconveniences due to the Corona measures to be taken. It became one of our most relaxed travels of last years due to the efforts the staff took to make the passengers feel comfortable.
I really cannot praise Qatar Airways enough for this trip that started from a deserted Melbourne Airport and finished in Madrid . The boarding was done in a very quiet and systematic way and we left on time. Dinner was served with wine and was excellent and then the hostess puta soft mattress on the bed which already had a very nice soft pillow and it was happy dreams for the next 8 hours. A couple of hours before landing in Doha a nice breakfast was served and we landed on time. Better things still to come .. the transit to the flight to Madrid was achieved by simply walking to the departing gate without having to go through the hand luggage and passport checks again. The 8 hour flight to Madrid was in a A350-900 which was comfortable but the seat was less private. Everything was wonderful except the crew may have been just a tad over attentive. Still,the plane arrived on time. I paid for this flight with a voucher plus an additional 10% from a cancelled flight with Qatar. Qatar had also repaid to my credit card a fare from another cancelled flight so I must applaud their integrity . Thank you Qatar!!
Due to the virus the flight back to UK was cancelled twice. Initially very difficult to contact and the web site was at times curtailed. Eventually seat booking made with phone call to local office. Long delay to check in as new procedures implemented by Airline and China customs. Once on board staff extremely polite and helpful. Yes, we had to wear a face shield and mask, A protection kit was issued to all. Staff wore suitable protection. Service was good with hot food/drinks available. Guangzhou flight to Doha delayed by one hour but arrived on time. Minimal Doha facilities but adequate. Flight to UK smooth and on time. Overall a comfortable throughout journey with excellent on board service.
Qatar Airways is the best airline I know. Had a good experience my first time to be on the aeroplane and from that day is the only airline I use. I recomend Qatar Airways again and it is also safe to travel with during this pandemic, you feel safe.

We flew from Lebanon to the US everything was good except the food... U are an arabic airlines u should provide arabic food... We literally couldnt eat anything the entire flight....
They overbook flights and then bumped us off and gave preference to Business class passengers to comply with the daily limit of international arrivals in Perth. Why do they keep on selling tickets after the 50 person limit for a flight was reached? Why do they discriminate based on class of travel? They should bump people off on a last come first out principle. So furious right now, we only want to go back home, but it is such a challenge!
The flight was great. The pilots were really good and the flight attendants made sure that you were comfortable and helped in any way they could. The food was delightful, i have never had food like that on a plane before. Overall was a very good flight!
Flew back from Chicago to Nairobi and even with the mandatory face shields they provided (on top of face masks), the flights were great. Friendly, efficient service managing new safety protocols. Great food and entertainment system. Really nice plane. Good price. Overall, a very good experience, even with a long 13+ hour flight for the first leg of the trip.
We booked our flight well ahead of the corona outbreak and waited until a week before departure to take action. The terms on the website seemed very customer friendly and we thought that we might get a refund. But to our horror the flights were operated as scheduled, whereas Indonesia was still closed completely for tourists. No cancelled flight no refund.: Just take you voucher and book again, sir. That was in short their answer. Imagine that! They just flew with almost empty planes to keep the cash! European airlines did have the decency to pay refunds, but Qatar Airways? No sir! They are only friendly towards their customers until they have booked and transferred their money. After that you are completely left alone as a customer. My money is now in Qatar and some guys there are probably having a good time. I don't have a good time and I feel scammed. And yet they leave me no other option than to fly with them? It will be against my will and they may prepare themselves on a customer that will let them work for the money real hard. And they must be prepared that this will be absolutely the last flight EVER with Qatar Airways,
Just flew with Qatar airways and had a wonderful experience . On broad services were excellent. Cabin crew was friendly and corporative. Especially the way the handled seating because of Covid - 19 was extremely appreciative. They even offered elderly and handicap people to first class seating. That was so kind which showed that they care about their passengers even beyond their business norms.
As allways, I use qatar to fly from and to japan. Service is very good, and food is fantastic. Very new planes with beatifull interiors. Confortable and media is great.
Barcelona to Tokyo via Doha. A very good company. I always use it to fly from and to japan service is great food is very good. Staff is nice, entertainment is great and transit in Qatar is very easy.
