I travelled Business with my 9 year old son. He sat in 3A and I was 3B. I enjoyed the experience. The staff were lovely. Food was nice. There is a foot rest but may need to ask how to operate it. My only ‘word of warning’ is regarding 3A. When the person reclines in seat 2A you are kind of stuck in your seat, because the space between the back of the recliner 2A chair and the armrest between 3A and 3B, is minimal. Even my skinny child had to crawl to get out.
I travelled with my 9 year old son from Tokyo to Cairns in December 2019 - overnighter. The arm rest between 10 D and 10 E can be raised, unlike all other arm rests in row 10. The extra leg room was great and because it is not an exit isle, I used an inflatable foot cushion. We had an overhead locker to ourselves. The TV is stored in the armrest and sits a little lower than the ones in the back of the seat, but not uncomfortably low. Definitely recommend pre-purchasing food as I didn’t on this leg and although I was at the front of the plane, a lot of the meals were sold out. Business and the small economy section row 10 is in, exit first which is nice. Staff were friendly.
This is a bassinet seat. It feels spacious but beware other passengers will walk over your seat throughout the whole flight as they try to get to the toilet which is only on the right side of the plane. Because the galley is blocked off nearly 100% of the time, all foot traffic to the toilet will cross your seat stepping on your feet and knocking your knees.
this trip is first time on a 787-8. Qantas have proven very smart to put the 787-8 into their Low Cost Fleet to gain or the necessary new type experience for the group by flying it in the JQ fleet. All aspects excel what you would normally expect on a LCC with good seats and legroom. The Business Class product should best be call Business Class Lite.
No complaints with this seat at all. Loads of legroom, close to toilet and seats were leather. They’re slightly more narrow as the tray table and entertainment unit is located in the arm rest. It can get a bit crowded with people standing in front of you waiting for the toilet but they were respectful of us and we never once felt crowded. Flight departed on time and arrived early into Bali. Happy Jetstar customer yet again!
Very comfortable seat, lots of leg room and the width is good. Early boarding before economy boards. The staff in business class seem to treat me a lot better than the other times I flew in economy class, it shouldn't be like that. food was nice and I had 4 beers, Pringles and cake. comfort pack included.
I always pick this seat when I fly as I'm 198cm. It is next to the toilet and emergency exit so there is an open floor space which give me room to stretch my legs out and stand up if I get sore. Jetstar seats are the worst and I got a very sore bum the first 2 times I flew to Japan. But then I got a quality lambs wool cushion which I always use now, it make the flights so much better. The food is very average so I always take bars, nuts and my own sandwiches. TV and tray table are built into the arm rest. so if the person next to you is using the arm rest you need to ask them to move their arm.
Good seat with loads of legroom and ability to snuggle in against window for sleeping. Worth the extra $$. Agree with other users - this small area could so become Jetstar's Premium Economy area and provide another point of difference.
I didn't think Jetstar Business Class was that great until I experienced Jetstar economy on the way home. Now I would definitely try to fly Business Class next time. The seats were far more comfortable. The service and meal was good. I didn't use the entertainment but saw others using it and at least it was included at no extra charge. The staff were lovely.
Legroom was good. Seat was narrow and uncomfortable. Recline was standard. Entertainment was non existent- all movies were $13 each, nothing included. I purchased a "meal" expecting to receive an airline meal, but instead received a small box of butter chicken. Then the option of tea, coffee or water. The coffee was horrible and undrinkable. The staff were not gracious and had bad attitude.
Good being in separate cabin as a little quieter but outside of that don’t really see advantage of it. Not too much noise from galley nearby and far enough away from toilet to avoid noise. Shame Jetstar doesnt make this more like a Premium Econ cabin.
The flight was cancelled at 2:00 am. I awoke at 7:00 am to the task of finding a quick flight to Phuket. Luckily I was able to book on Thai Airways departing at 10:00 AM
Flew Brisbane to Bali in this seat and it was simply excellent! I could stretch out my legs and was very comfortable. A few months later I returned to Australia and was in the Exit Row 44C but did not like these seats at all. Too many people standing around in front of me and the seat not as comfortable as a result. Where 10G is located is more intimate and quiet. People complain re the pitch but they are a budget airline. To buy extra leg room is a very small amount extra. Just pay it rather than complaining.
Row 10 is extra money but a lot of leg room. Seat arms are immoveable and Jetstar seats are not wide but I still prefer to be squished horizontally rather than in leg room. 10 ABC had bassinet so avoid that.
Worst Business Class seat, might be OK for domestic flight under 5 hours. Do not expect a relaxed sleep. No comparison with Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9N business class seat. Flight NZ103 Seat 4J
Honolulu to Melbourne 11 hour flight in economy is a no brainer. we were lucky to have no one behind us so didn't feel pressured not to put the seat as far back as it would allow (not enough to sleep ). leg room is minimal. quiet plane, no disturbance from galley or toilet.
The foot well is obstructed by a metal box and the legs of the seat in front. There is also a an aluminium post that means you can't stretch your legs and makes it impossible to place your two feet together. I believe this is also an issue for seat 3D as well.
good flight but running late
This plane is very uncomfortable to travel in which s a shame as the Dreamliner is a nice aircraft. For the average Australian male the seat is too cramped for long haul flights. Not enough width and too little legroom. Give this plane a miss regardless of price.
Hi there! On the 787-8, the window seats in the Exit Row (44A & 44J) have diminished legroom space due to the massive bump in the door where the inflatable slide is housed. There is LESS legroom than ordinary seats! Paying for "extra legroom" is an absolute rort! Not sure about Row 23. This would be indicative of most 787-8 aircraft operating worldwide! :-(
