I agree with the comments from some other people here. Although it is a new business class layout, the essential was missed in my opinion: the sleeping comfort. Not necessarily of the bed itself, it is very comfortable, but the design around! The foot rest is like a "tunnel" as you have the big upper part of the screen above you. And you have problems to put the feet there and if you lay, you cannot move the feet up or turn the body around as you are blocked with the upper part. Moreover , the space when laying is assymetric: you are blocked with the shoulder on the left side and have some space on the right side, this makes it difficult to lay straight and twists your body! I'll never fly with them again. Absolutely not comfortable.
Flew from JFK to Lisbon. Excited about new plane, but found the seat to be narrow, and if reclined, the seat back of the person in front of me closer to my face then I would have liked. Eating using my tray table with the seat in front of me reclined was just not comfortable. On the positive side since there was no 40G seat next to me, I was able to stow items under 39G and I had some legroom.
Very comfortable. I am 6'5" tall, with broad shoulders and I often struggle to find seats that are long enough AND wide enough for my frame. I realize this isn't true for most people, but, for those who care about this, be assured this is a spacious seat that is comfortable
First bulkhead in economy is great not sure why it's not green. I didn't sit there but was in row 11 right behind and would have loved those seats.
Nice new plane, horrible seat. Thought the other reviews were just sour grapes, but no, this is a truly uncomfortable business class seat. No privacy, faces aisle and gets hit every time a cart rolls past as the aisles are really narrow. Table mechanism protrudes into a very small foot well - almost impossible not to bash your shins every time you move. Avoid these aisle seats at all costs - middle seats appear to have more room and certainly more privacy. Will not fly this configuration again.
Recaro executive seats are very unconfortable. Narrow space among seats. In flat position it is impossible to sleep in lateral position due to hight space. With lights off it is impossible to find AC/Speaker phone jack, even with reading lights on. Will not fly in this plane again, horrible!!
Executive Recaro seats on A330 NEO is very unconfortable. Does not worth the price charged Narrow space among seats, Narrow hight space in the flat position, not allowing to sleep in the lateral position, With cabin lights off it is impossible to find the AC/DC/earphones outlet. Very bad
I was able to compare this seat to similar seats on both Air Canada and SAS. Air Canada was a B777 and SAS was an A330-200, but the seat itself was very similar. I really had no issues with seat 7K on TAP Portugal.
Pensei que os seats do A330-900neo fossem mais confortáveis - com mais espaço e melhor mesas para refeições). Os seats são bem apertados e as mesas para refeição são minúsculas. A inclinação dos seats is good. ( I thought that the seats of the A330-900neo were more confortables - with more space and better meal table. The seats are very tight and the meal tables are tiny. The inclination of the seats is good.)
Recently flew one of the new A330-900neos from Lisbon to Toronto. The new seats were comfortable for the 7.5 hr flight, with sufficient leg room (I'm 180cm), even with the seat in the row ahead reclined. Shoulder room was OK, with a little extra space against the bulkhead. The seat back screen worked very well with ports to recharge personal devices. The only issue was with the food served: the beef stew (?) for dinner was flavourless and the sandwich for pre-landing snack was even worse. Overall, very impressed with the new plane and it's comfort and features.
