I have a reservation for one of their special flights, I've been trying to contact them for 2 weeks now to reschedule my flight, and they haven't responded ! They haven't answered the phone, emails, Facebook messages, whats app messages. When purchasing the ticket, it clearly states that you can reschedule, but when trying to manage your booking on the website, it doesn't work ! What a scam ! Basically they charged me for 223 $ , and now I have to pay another 223$ to book again without even having been informed !
Took a short flight with Azerbaijan Airlines last summer from Tbilisi to Baku and checked in a small suitcase. Plane, flight and service were average but what really soured my experience was that upon reaching my hotel I discovered that a zip slider on my suitcase was broken and the padlock that had been attached to it was gone. The zip was basically still intact because of the remaining slider but it would be foolish to use the suitcase with a single slider for my long flight home. One look at the zipper would tell anyone that someone had tried to open the suitcase and, having failed to crack the padlock, broken off the slider. I immediately contacted the airline. Despite two hours if calling I could not find a live person to help me. I shot off two e-mails and got a response to one asking for my address in Baku, home address, photos of the damaged bag and receipt for its purchase. The bag and the padlock were brand new and I had purchased them just before my trip but I obviously did not have the receipts with me while traveling. I sent the airline everything else. About a month and a half later, I got an e-mail from their general counsel citing two obscure international law statutes and denying my claim. The first statute was completely inapplicable and clearly had been thrown in the e-mail just to be heavy handed. The second basically said the airline was not responsible for damage to baggage by the complainant. Essentially the implication was that I damaged my own suitcase and tried to recover the cost from the airline. All responses (three, I think, including the denial) were mechanical without a hint of apology or understanding. I can live with a $70 -$100 loss for the suitcase and padlock but this is just cheap behaviour on the airline's part. Even the worst airlines offer their customers at least a used suitcase to allow them to continue on their journey. Given their lack of compassion or even basic courtesy, I will never fly Azerbaijan Airlines again and would not recommend it to anyone else.
I’ve been flying with AZAL since 2006, and trust me it’s came a long way. I’ve always found the food really good, comfortable seats & good entertainment. For a 5ish hour flight, that’s pretty good. I would highly recommend flying with Azerbaijan Airlines.
Due to COVID-19, my flight has been canceled which supposed to be 6-27 April. On 13th of March AZAL had posted that due to cancelation of flight full amount will be refunded. I have been emailing and calling them ever since but I cannot reach any phone, or their representatives are not helpful. Last they told me they changed their law, so they are not willing to do refund, even though I have requested before they changed their law and removed news that was posted on 13th of March. Now I am at least expencing free exchange pf my tickets but still no one is helping. Do not trust this company!!!
Economical but excellent. Good food, good service and everything we wanted I would certinaly use them again.
This airline still treats their passengers with respect. It’s been a while since I’ve been on an airline where they bring you blankets and pillows during the flight, where they serve you food constantly, where they are pleasant and don’t get bent out of shape because you ordered a decaf coffee. I travel a lot and this was a pleasant surprise. I’m going to use this airline again, for sure.
The Flight was on time, crew welcomed us by their warm smile and greetings. The Leg space was more than Good, very comfortable. Got my pre ordered special meal with respect I will fly again with Azerbaijan Airlines
A value for money, Azerbaijan-Buta connecting flight from Dubai-Baku-Tbilisi. I didn't expect that they are serving in-flight food for free as I also didn't notice about it while booking. Good customer service for an economy flight, would definitely book another flight with them in any chance.

Had my baggage totally damaged on one of their flight. Complained at the airport and via email and i keep getting this automated replies saying that my case is under review after 3 months.
It is one of the best airline for me so far😊 I really enjoyed the whole trip even if it is just a 3 hours flight. Love the foods and the entertainment. I would probably recommend it to my friends😊😊 And I will surely booked my flight again with Azerbaijan Airline
My first trip ever on Azerbaijan Airlines from Baku to Istanbul. The fare was surprisingly competitive. The plane was an older A319 with no individual PTV screens, it still had ash trays in the arm rests. But the leg room was generous in economy. The cabin crew was efficient with good English proficiency, but hardly a smile to me. A full dinner was served which was Azerbaijani food and which was delicious. Overall not a bad experience on Azerbaijan Airlines and I would fly with them again in the future.

I had a good experience with Azerbaijan Airlines and would recommend to anyone flying to Baku. Service was great, food was sumptuous and delicious and the Airlines keeps timings Flight was also new.
Staffs are friendly and they care about whatever passengers ask them. The seat is good and you can feel so relax during your flight
Airport check-in in Baku is corrupted just like anything in Azerbaijan. They charge you even for a smallest cabin bag within size limits established by Azal itself. Security staff is rude and zealous, similar to the U.S.A.'s. Price is too high for a short distance flight.

Great flight: clean plane, friendly staff, outstanding red wine was served on the flight and excellent flying by the pilot especially on the landing where there were extreme winds. Recommend
On both ways flights left on time and arrived earlier than schedule however aircrafts were kind of old but comfortable seats no inflight entertainment crew were very efficient and helpful and pleasant food was good but not the best however price was very good
