Seats are tight, and especially and only this seat, IFE and the front seats personal tv box (since front row seat screen slide up from under the seat) blocked over 70% of my legroom. Absolutely horrible and uncomfortable. Apart from that terrible seat, the service was good, good food, and nice attendants. Also, the galley and bathrooms are super annoying.
I can confirm, this seat (and also 23 A, B and K) have a very generous cut-out (more like a cabinet with shelves) in the bulk-head, which provides extra legroom equivalent to an exit row. I liked this feature and would use it again. The aisle seats (B, J) also allow a bit of "footsie" with the aisle space, because there is little traffic at the curtain blocking Business Class. (Only when the fight crew is beginning an Economy service is it busy there.) It is also true that these seats--like those in the exit row--are unusually narrow due to the space used up by the service tray and, oddly, the dumb entertainment system remote controller. Bad design. I am slim-hipped so I was not bothered, but then again I was not trying to get comfortable enough to sleep.
Terrible seat for comfort, as mentioned several times the IFE box takes up around 1/3 of the footspace and was directly infront of my Right foot. Anyone over average height is going to feel cramped. It seems some A330-300 planes have this box on J / some on K etc.etc. - a bit of a lottery, when choosing. Also annoying after 12 hours is the bulkhead screens rotating through adverts / flight position etc. These may as well be lightbulbs switching on and off as the brightness varies - even with eyes closed trying to sleep you notice the light levels changing, no eyepatches anymore - next the bit of chocolate will get smaller!!
Seat in business class, with very good assistant staff. As this is a trip to/from Asia they have a quite big bussines class, more than 20 rows, so the service is not so “exclusive” than other smaller flights to Latinamerica.
this was the "tightest" and worst seat i´ve ever had long haul. minimal legroom, very narrow width. all exceptionally claustrophobic. swiss take 50 eu´s extra for this "preferred" (???) seat. why?? the armrest can not be lifted making it impossible to get out when 22A is fully reclined without waking row in front. with 22A fully reclined it´s also impossible to use laptop or read. i´m not a particularly large person but i couldn´t pull table flat either. a horribly uncomfarotable flight. good crew and catering but will never fly swiss long haul again. returned in 23B...just as bad.
The aircraft seemed very noisy, the sound of air on the external fuselage. We travelled JFK, Zurich to Delhi, roundtrip in April 2019.
Sufficient space and also the angle to lie is very good. Had the opportunity to lie down in the middle row because the plane was not fully booked. Unfortunately the armrests can't be stowed away completely, so it's hard to lie down!
We were very pleasantly surprised by the extra legroom. We could put our legs in the storage compartment in front of us, even slightly raised and so had almost reclining seats. Good view through the window, unfortunately on the wing and hardly view down, but very quiet regarding the noise. We were always the first to be served. The seat 23J is a bit narrower, because the operation of the entertainment in the left armrest is installed against the seat. This is unpleasant for a few strong people.
The seat would not recline and there was not a lot of leg room even less when the person in front of you leans their seat back. Just for reference I am 55 and I had no room for my legs
Just horrible. Not confortable, like a wood chair. No place for my legs I am 185 cms. No choice for the meal. Only vegetarian meal at the end of service because the end of plane
Having flown over on Air Canada on a 787, I was extremely disappointed with th 330 300. Seats were very narrow and pitch was too little. The seat in front of me was reclined the whole trip and was in my face all the timeThis made it very difficult to eat or get up. I I'll never fly this plane again. I also broke a crown on a bone in the chicken with no response from the flight staff.
Not a good seat for tall people. If you're taller than 6'3" you won't have enough room to fully extend in bed mode. The footwell is very small, and so the only tenable sleeping position is on the side with the knees bent. The personal counter and storage space is nice, but I will avoid this seat in the future.
Seat 5K was great on my flights ZRH-YUL and YUL-ZRH. There is a cabin where they prepare food and a toilet behind you, but there is some distance so it was completely fine. I never noticed when someone went to the toilet, I never heard it flush. Swiss Business was great, good food (and good choice, vegetarian option from Hiltl, one of the best vegetarian restaurants in zurich!), the flight attendants were very friendly, plenty of legroom, comfortable fully reclinable seat, great in-flight entertainment system. Probably the best business seat if you want great views as you are in front of the wing. I really have no complaints.
Honestly this seat is probably the best one in Business Class. Firstly the fact that its near the toilet does not affect this seat at all, I flew Zurich - New York and I couldn't hear a thing. This seat is in the isolated part of the Business Class which already makes it great and you have a huge arm rest/desk area to your left which gives the space and comfort to look out the window with zero troubles. Nobody next to you and honestly would be my #1 pick if I were to fly again.
All first class seqts are open suite, way too open to my liking. There is no privecy especially in middle seats which are dual and the barrier does not go high enough. In general, not the best first class experience compared to other good quality airlines
The "bad" seat in this row is actually 42G which has the dreaded electrical box on the ground. This will force you to share, if you are kind, the leg space with the person seating there. However I found that there is really a lot of space for your feet and you bag in front of this seat. It's very wide. Probably the best ground storage place in all of economy. The worst is the of centered screen. Because you are going from 4 to 3 seats, there are 4 screens in front of you, but non are exactly in front of any of the seats. If you don't use the screen, you won't mind. If you want to watch a movie, it's the screen slightly to you left. The screen slightly to your right belongs to 42F, a non existing seat.
Excellent seat. Although gallies and restrooms are right behind you, they are separated well with heavy curtain. You get both a window and aisle in this seat. Plenty of overhead storage. I got this ticket via Star Alliance and they assign the seat. But when you check-in online, you can change to others, if available.
Good place , as are only 2 seats, i.e, passenger is not squeezed in the middle 4 seats. Far from toilets which are in the mid of the plane, so the around row 43 it is more quiet.
Beware about the odious electronic boxes in Y. They are not necessarily under the same seats at all rows! I had no box reducing my leg space at 25J (it was at 25K), but in row 24 it was the opposite. Go figure! As mentioned, armrests do not go fully up (again, go figure why!). Service has clearly deteriorated over the past 10 or so years; not much to write home about these days.
Very little leg room. Good recline. Armrests do not go all the way up which was my biggest complaint.
