Great seat which gives extra privacy because it is configured towards the window instead of the row between the seats. The inly issue is that the crew has the crew only storage above the seat which leads to the passanger needing to use a storage above someone elses seat.
Service was exemplary, comfort of the plane first class, food was perfect, staff attention to detail second to none, one of the best if not the best business class seats and service I have ever experienced
On time good service good food
First row in economy has plenty of leg room, I'm 1m90 and could fully stretch out. Screens and tables are in the armrests but this doesn't affect seat width much. Recline is very good for economy, headrest is adjustable and comfortable. Seats 31C and 31H face the corridors forward to business class so have some extra leg room but endure the constant crew traffic and your legs will get whacked by the divider curtain every few minutes. Lavatories forward of row 31 are for business class only so no passenger traffic in the area. Overall very quiet engines and cabin, but noisy crew with lots of chatter and clatter in the galley.
Flying from Oslo to Bangkok, I thought the Boeing 777 was a great airplane until we changed to the Airbus 350 from Bangkok to Singapore. What a difference! Same interior, same colours, but the significant difference was the noise, or more correct, the lack of it. The 350 vs the 777, smooth as silk, nothing more to say.
This seat is not good at all! The overhead compartment is taken by the crew, as well the one above 19F. The crew makes a terrible noise, so sleeping is not possible. They prepare the food, they take all the time something out of the overhead compartment, they are talking loud, the toilets are there also. Only a very bad experience. On top of that, it was not clean next to my seat.
I was a bit disappointed with the A350 Royal Silk seat. Was fine as a seat, although it is quite narrow. As a bed, it wad too short if you are over 170cm tall and too narrow to sleep on your side with your knees bent. The aircraft was under 2 years old but the cabin looked tired & warn.
Excellent flight. Plane very new and comfortable. Seating for me was better than A380 as the window seat is easier to rest on the wall than the larger aircraft. Excellent crew both trips.
Both passengers and crew tend to bump into this seat to get by. I think that the recline is the same as other seats though.
My wife and I were greeted by name upon embarkation. All members of the cabin staff also approached us to introduce themselves when convenient. Order for all meals were taken before departure, so the service throughout the flight was seamless. The 32-seat Business Class has three dedicated toilets, so they are pretty much well cleaned.
first time with busine class thai. The difference with economic is sustantial but pitch 44 is smaller then in other company plane and i find the seat very strict (20) also when u sleep. Not good for the price
This 11 hours stretch from Brussels to Bangkok was a very comfortable and relaxing trip. The legroom and seat width on the brandnew A350 from Thai Airways felt better than on previous long haul flights with A330 and B787 Dreamliner. Apart from meals, cabin crew was constantly underway with juice and water. Top class experience in economy for me.
Unfortunately I didn't use Seat Maestro instead using site that was known, consequences was that seat plan was incorrect. In future I will use Seat Maestro for all seating plans. My mistake. It was no drama and flight with Thai was very good as usual. Friendly service and good breakfast even on short 3 hour trip.
Very nice airplane, very quite, decent business class configuration. Seat is fairly private, and lie flat position offers enough comfort for a decent sleep. However, a serious let down on this flight was the fact that the crew let the economy class passengers use the two rear restrooms of the business class section, with the result that as business class passengers you always have to stand in line to use the restroom. Totally unacceptable for the fare one pays to be seated in business class. For me that is a reason to avoid Thai A350 in the future, and I will go back flying Qatar Airways for my trips to the Far East.
I was sitting on 17A from BKK to SIN on 23rd Jan 2018. The seat on row 17 was the best. I can see the engine on the window and yummy meal in-flight.
Avoid 19 middle seats the staff use the overhead bins for inflight items so they are always opening and closing them meaning you are disturbed constantly. There is also no individual air vents on this aircraft, so you are at the mercy of the staff as to what temperature the cabin should be.
This seat is excellent with a lot of privacy. I am just shy of 6 ft and I can lie down straight on this seat. The service is also brilliant and the Thai food is amazing. I will definitely fly again on this aircraft
the pitch not sufficient for long legs. was better the 747.the nois of the engine was very strong
Somewhat cramped. Footwell has very little room when sitting upright but OK in the lie-flat mode. Tray table pivots and folds down from the partition, not the armrest or side console. Once it's down, you can't move a muscle. Storage space is narrow and along the sidewall. You can barely put a briefcase in that area and even then it's not very easy to access. No individual air control - the cabin uses "flow through" ventilation. Seats and partitions are arranged very close together and that makes the overall effect "tight."
