Beware of seat 20C on United 757-2W. The TV box takes up at least 1/3 of the underseat storage on this aircraft.
4A is the pilot rest seat, so the person in 4B may be woken up more often as the pilots swap (most flights to/from Europe).
Stay away from this airplane if you are over 6'1" tall and need to fly economy. I'm 6"2" either I have freakishly long femurs or the seat pitch is just too damn short. When we landed in SFO, my knees were literally bleeding because I was wedged into the seat like a sardine. There was literally NO possible position I could sit in that provided relief. I have had more legroom on all other Boeings, Airbuses, and Embraers.
There is a non-adjustable HVAC outlet directly above this seat (not one of the user adjusted nozzles) that poured cold air on my left shoulder for the entire flight.
Middle seat has a block underneath, reducing space for an underseat bag and/or feet. disappointing since i have seen them in window and aisle seats, and middle is painful enough
Angle of seat eliminates underseat stowage. This seat (and maybe all of the window seats on the port side) should be yellow in your map.
This has the electrical box under the seat in front of me. Could not fit my laptop bag. 35C same thing
Newark to GLA in 4F was great for overnight flight. Having no one next to me in 4E helped. I am 5'11" and was very comfortable stretched out with the seat in full recline. Service was great, food was ok, lots of pillows and blankets. I slept almost the entire time, was not at all bothered by bathroom proximity with either noise or odors (which on a flight full of glaswegians is saying something)
Limited recline!
These seats only reclined about an inch. It was horrible for the overnight flight. We sat back in the economy on the way home and the seats went back further.
I am 6'4" and I had plenty of legroom but more importantly knee room. In a regular seat, I find it difficult to extend my legs under the seat because my knees press into the seat in front. The space for your feet is very narrow due to an electrical box being in the way. It is very difficult to get a carry on item like a backpack under that seat. Seats 21E and 21F have lots of feet space.
I was dreading this transatlantic flight from GLA to EWR on a type that I had last flown when it was the shuttle between GLA & LHR. I was pleasantly surprised. When I got the chance to check-in, there were only two standard seat available, both window seats (my preference is aisle). I chose 26A as it was at the trailing edge of the wing while the other seat was over the wing. This seat has access to two windows, although the downward view is limited by the wing. At just short of 6 feet, I found this seat to have sufficient legroom and the space under the seat in front was perfectly sized for my backpack. The seat was comfortable enough for me to not have to readjust my position for comfort reasons during this long flight. I do have two criticisms, one specific to the aircraft I flow on and the other possibly more general. Firstly, the monitor had touch sensitive dead zones one on the right hand side and the other on the bottom right. The result was that I wasn't able to scroll through the movies, etc. as the right arrow was inactive. I was restricted to choosing from the first four movies in each category. The dead zone at the bottom made it difficult to navigate between entertainment options. The second criticism is that the expansion/contraction zone for the overhead lockers is located in the area of row 26. There is a front and rear section of lockers which meet here and they can slide back and forward relative to each other. During take off and landing, when the fuselage is moving around a lot the movement between these two sections causes an ear splitting screech.
The last 3 (38, 39 and 40) rows cannot use the overhead bin to store luggage, as those are restricted for the crew.
Flight from DUB to IAD. Very good seat on this single aisle aircraft. Great service, meals, and video. Unlike on the 777-200 the middle armrest had a small divider. Both flight and cabin crew were excellent.
Best seat in economy as far as I'm concerned. There is Economy Plus legroom plus a cutout thrown in, plenty of space. No seat in front to recline into your face. The seat may be narrower than others but I didn't notice .
The seat did not fully recline on my flight
Almost no at seat storage. The leg of the seat in front is inconveniently placed to start with, then there's a big grey box strapped to it. You might squeeze a small cat in there, but nothing larger.
Entire row 20 seats do not recline due to emergency exit row 21, very bad for overnight/long flights
I think this seat should be yellow. Its right in front of the bathroom and nexr to galley way so when the flught team js working (bagging ice nags around) it can be hard to sleep
Seat 1AB is a bassinet location.
