Due to the curvature of the fuselage, and ridges in the side panels, the window seats on the entire aircraft are not suitable for people over six feet tall.
This review is for the entire Row 1 as of 12/19. Row 1 does not have any more leg room than any other row in the plane, and should not be sold as Economy Plus. Do not pay for these seats! Unfortunately, the CRJ-200 does not have a good seat in the entire plane.
Flew on this from DEN to IDA. I'm 5' 10'' and about 220 lbs; I really like the legroom on the CRJs (also including the -700). The only thing I don't like about the window seats is that I have to lean my head down a little bit to look out the window.
Seat isn’t as wide as the isle seat. But does have more legroom. I’m broad shouldered and tall. Isle seat would’ve been best.
04 JAN 2027 United Flight 5707 SCE->ORD: Please use caution when booking this seat. Yes, it is in the first row and gives you a little more leg room then the other rows however please consider this seat is a couple of inches smaller (width) then the traditional seats due to the tray table. If you have over a 42 or 44 waist you will have your hips pressing against both sides of the seat. Also this seat has the electrical and heating duct work running against the wall. You will not be able to put your left leg directly in font. You will have to shift to the left slightly.
If you want the extra elbow room you get from some window seats, this is not the one. The exit hatch bulkhead mis-sligns the window and offers no elbow room.
The seat was totally uncomfortable for someone of my height (6'3) not to mention that I couldn't stand up straight while in the aircraft. There is hardly any over head space to place very expensive photo equipment and the flight attendant was absolutely no help in dealing with this matter. This aircraft should be banned from commercial use.
My feet got really cold during the flight. There appears to be some type of vent along the side at ground level. I heard other passengers commenting on the same thing. So, it you're not wearing them, pack some socks to wear during the flight.
