Seats I found were quite narrow and not a lot of cushioning in them. I had plenty of leg room as no seats in front of me. The headrests were good for me, you could turn the wings in at the side. I wish virgin would install more premium seats as these are so much more comfortable.
The economy seats rival budget airlines, 29 or 30" pitch on long haul is torture. Virgin should ditch these short term refurbed Air Berlin aircraft. Delight gives 34"pitch
This plane was not up to the normal expected standard for a long flight. The seatwas not functioning correctly and reclined itself and the armrest.st cover was detached and caught on my sleeve. The seats had also been fitted with loose covers that did not fit correctly. The leg room was as tight as I have ever experienced, not good. The crew repaired the armrest with tape. Again not good and there. Wa,s no apology. They gave us a menu but then our choice was not available. Wiĺ not be recommending this. Virgin model it was second rate
On my 5th trip on the same route this has been the comfiest yet not that the others were bad but this excelled all my expectations as a large person it’s hard to get comfortable even the seatbelt fitted with room for adjustment there was at least 2 meters leg room as it was at the entrance/exit there was no obstruction whatsoever even the arm rest at the window was some 4 inches away from the wall it was so roomy definitely this is the way to travel (without going 1st class) on a long haul flight and with Virgin Atlantic the best
The seat pitch in standard economy is 30". Terrible for long transAtlantic flights. These A322 aircraft should be disposed of as soon as possible, its like flying budget airlines.
Premium Economy seat - A330-200. New refurb! Very good seat. lots of legroom. I'm just over 6 foot and felt it comfortable throughout the 11 hr flight. The TV screen is nice and sharp, all though only a choice of 70 movies. 1st row and last row of Premium Economy only have one window, the other rows have 2 windows each.
Staff as usual smart looking and efficient. Food was awful tasting and cold. Both dinner and breakfast. I am 100 lbs 5.2 and I found the seat very hard and uncomfortable especially for 9 hour night flight. Leg room almost non existent. Not looking forward to my return trip home I am to be this uncomfortable again.
Probably the best premium seats due to being on the front row without the usual bulkhead in front of you. Definitely not the comfiest seats but ok.
Absolutely fantastic experience. I found the "love suite" to be very comfortable and well laid out with plenty of room. Best flight experience ever.
Although stylish the seats were very narrow and the isle space so narrow you felt like you couldn't avoid bumping into your fellow travellers. The whole upperclass cabin felt crammed. This being the return flight and staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful.
Infact the aircraft was a 747and I was in Priority
The everlasting problem of seat room was that when I sat down my knees were virtually touching the seat in front and I am of average height. Also seats seemed a bit narrow. Overall the flight was good with good attention from the cabin crew. When are flight crew going to start announcements with a voice that can be heard and understood, allowing for background noise?
I enjoyed this flight you can't beat a heavy like this vs103 .so powerful without being ugly is how i felt .staff were excellent through out only complaint would be it was very cold on-board .I also loved Atlanta airport huge place but plenty of signs to help navigate your way around this town size set up.also plenty of places for spotting over all great value for money .well done virgin
Berlin replacement plane for Virgin Atlantic. Really liked sitting next to my partner as we could chat easily. Also easy to recline bed for snooze rather than flipping seat into bed.Plane has been refurbished . Good flight and being near galley not an issue for us
VIrgin A330 200 are cheap retro fitted Air Berlin aircraft. The economy seats are uncomfortable shell type, but worse, are at 30” pitch. Virgin have become a budget airline! Even the food has shrunk, the meal tray is smaller than A4 now. A horrid flight, these aircraft are to be avoided at all cost. What seatmaestro plans don’t show is there are 24, “Economy Delight” seats at 34” but for an extra payment. These are tolerable.
Not a pleasant experience. In my view this plane sets a new low for long haul business travel.
As I was sitting in upper class I felt there was not enough privacy compared to Virgin's other aircraft. I am pleased I changed my seat that was originally allocated to me as that seat was in the middle of the aisle. Luckily my seat was by the window. If I am honest, the upper class seating is not as good.
i have flown with virgin 10 times this was the most uncomfortable time ever 8 hours with leg room you you get on a standered flight to spain will never fly on this plane knowingly again
The Upper Class seats are absolutely awful 3 inches shorter and 2 inches narrower than any other Virgin planes. Constantly disturbed by staff due to bed being along aisle. Try and avoid this plane if possible.
My husband and I usually book Premium Economy purely for the comfort factor in terms of the type of seats and leg room. Hubby is over 6ft. Due to ridiculous pricing of Premium this time round we booked 2 economy delight seats.. i found the leg room ok but hubby was a little snug. Seats felt a little hard so much shifting to get comfortable. The old air Berlin plane refurbished but not very well. The glue to the covering of the seat in front of me was becoming unstuck. Overall i would still prefer Premium. But if cost is a factor next time will buy economy delight.
