The arm rests in this row do not lift up, unlike other rows.
Great flight. Nice clean aircraft
Great seat. Has wall behind so you can leave your seat reclined for service and the seat does recline the full way. Leg room was great. Much more than economy and to your right you have a massive open space (due to door), which makes you feel like your in a very open area. The overhead bins are very high in this section also giving a massive open feeling. The entertain system is very basic (compare to virgin Atlantic), but still alot to watch. Could find a power point for charging, but had USB charging. Headphones provided are noise cancelling and they are the 3 prongs type. Also provide a blanket, hard pillow, and welcome bag (pen, ear plugs, eye mask). Close to the proximity of the Premium Economy bathrooms. Traffic around you in very low, due to it being a different section to economy, and due to massive space to right, was never bumped during flight. Seats aren't as comfortable as the premium seats, but I general get Eco X for free, due to being a silver member, so hard to complain, when i paid for a worse service. I think rows 20/21 looked better but row 25 is the 2nd best option for this class
Economy X Middle seat exit row plwnty of space. Worth the upgrade. .
I booked these seats hoping the stewardess seat behind didn't interfere with my recline, And i can confirm that I had full recline on all 3 seats and on the way back had the opposite side of the plane with seats 24 a,b,c and again no issues i will book these seats every time i fly on the 777-300ER to LA.
It was definitely worth paying a bit extra for this seat. I'm 5'10 and could fully stretch out my legs and had the seat fully reclined for majority of the 14hour flight as there's no seat behind (so didn't have to feel guilty!). Priority boarding and meals are a bonus. Only small downsides are the limited cabin baggage space and having to walk right through an entire section of economy to get to the toilet.
Had the 2 seats at the very rear of the plane. The seat was comfortable although did start to get a bit hard toward the end of the flight. The only complaint would be that the seat reclines too far and knocks the food & drink off the tray table of the person behind. The tray table needs to be m oiunted lower than the current position
Good seat - the extra legroom of Economy X is awesome. Enough room to actually get the laptop out and do some work (or watch Netflix!) on the plane.
Had this seat on flight LAX-BNE and 3A on the return SYD-LAX (VA 1). Identical seats but on opposite side of the aircraft. The seats offer full recline and are quite comfortable for sleeping but the FA's will make up a bed for you upon request. How's that for service! Speaking of which, it was excellent on both flights as was the menu. More than ample storage space in these business class suites and they all come with an instruction card for their operation. AVE was very good with a selection of over 30 movies that changed about half way through the flight. Overall a very good experience and looking forward to the next trip on VA in a few months.
The arm rests do not go up or down and therefore if you have the whole row to yourself, you cannot spread out. VA staff told us that this is standard for all VA 777-300ER planes.
This seat is in Economy X & is the last row in front of the exit row & reclines into the area where the FA sits during take off & landing. No need to put your seat upright during meal service as there is no one behind you. Extra leg room. Smaller overhead locker for this row as emergency equipment is stored there. Loved the special treatment that Economy X gives you! Priority boarding, meals first to be served, first choice of meal options.
26A has no window.
Seat was fine for economy, no PowerPoint but USB charger Food was good, I had chicken thigh and Veges
The curtain between classes intrudes into the personal space of the seat.
50A-B-C and 50I-J-K have fixed armrests, which was quite a surprise when I thought I was going to have 3 open seats to lay down on a 14 hour flight!
4A - wonderful as a sole traveler, faces outside of plane, service was very, very good. I did miss getting an amenities pack and had to ask, minor matter. Food - perfect, drinks, as required, bed, as good as they can be, all round, highly recommend 4A and Virgin Melb - LAX.
The back row seats in premium economy are excellent. There is actually enough room to fully recline your chair. So since there is nobody behind you, you can do this guilt free for pretty much the entire flight.
Normally this would be one of the best seats in Business. My recent experience was that it was too close to the galley. The chatting and the laughter of the crew in the galley made it very difficult to sleep. It isn't reasonable to expect flight staff to be silent. My solution will be to avoid this particular seat in future.
Great legroom, great sightlines for those with claustrophobia. Yes, you can get your feet stomped on or hit by a trolley. Leaving your IFE unit out even if not on helps keep the trolleys from hitting you.
26G is an excellent seat. Despite being baulkhead, the legroom is excellent. There are no fitting points for baby holders. Also, most seats in this row have immovable arm rests, however the left arm rest for 26G IS a standard movable arm rest.
