Reviews
This is not a normal business seat. The wall of the fuselage butts inward at this point and impinges on your sitting area. It is a very uncomfortable seat, with virtually no room on your left.
Best economy seat on this plane ! Not perfect though. Pros: Excellent leg room, fast exit from the plane right after J pax. Cons: Slightly narrower seat because of the tray table and IFE, IFE not available during taxi, takeoff and landing.
The legroom on seat 1A is larger than typical business class due to there being no seat in front.
Not a very comfortable seat for a 6-footer (184cm) with long legs. Needed another inch of seat pitch. The seat leg and video box were also impediments; the video box was on the adjoining seat and seemed to narrow the space on my seat. Nice to see individual air vents and lights that have a narrow beam so they don't bother other passengers. The video screen was good, as was the entertainment programme (I started with documentaries on Motorhead and Aston Martin). If my body strayed into the aisle it was quickly nudged back by passengers and stewardesses (the Finns were friendlier than the Japanese). After experiencing JAL's new economy, Finnair's seemed way out of date.
Standard long haul business class lie flat seat. Bit of outdated video systems, compared to new A350XWB. Good service from JFK to HEL January 2016. Dinner options somewhat limited, espeically for amuche bouche and starters. Wine selection good as expected from Finnair Business, though expect not best Pauillac like in good old days.
Plenty of space. Can be a bit narrow at the shoulders when in bed mode. Definitely the left hand side single seats are the best as you have the most personal space.
Even though both seats are so called standard business class seats one should be aware of the layout. Seat 3A is so squeezed in that it feels somewhat claustrofobic and it is impossible to leave seat 3A without disturbing passanger in seat 3C. It feels like an upscale Economy+ rather than a Business Class seating arrangement.
Seat width 21", pitch 60". For solo traveler, best seats in business are 2A, 4A, 6A. They offer the most space and privacy. Seat is 180 degree fully flat bed with massage option. Seat is the same as SWISS business seat with light blue decor. Comfortable seat, quiet cabin, service good. Recommendable. Only IFE could improve more with selection of movies. Those were limited. Camera views and route map were good.
