Reviews
The seat was so spacious and excellent. The crew was so awesome and helped me out throughout the flight. They had really good food and I LOVE LUFTHANSA SO MUCH!
Good legroom to be bulkhead seat. Nice to not have a seat in front that reclines into your space.
Middle seats on 747 in last row of premium eco have up to 6cm smaller width due to aisle narrowing towards back
Positively wonderful
This was a fantastic seat. Almost like flying Business Class. Although the seats were not "lie flat", they did recline , were wide and very comfortable. There was plenty of leg room for my husband(6'2") and me(5'7"). There was an amenity kit, thick blanket and pillow for each seat. We were given a menu to select our dinner.
Currently, it says that the legroom is restricted as it is a bulkhead seat which is not true. It is an exit row seat which has unlimited legroom and it even has its own footrest + legrest which makes the seat even more comfortable than other premium economy seats. Just like other exit row seats, there is no seat in front of you so all personal belongings must be stowed in the overhead bin and the personal monitor is stowed below the armrest. However, it doesn't make the seat narrower since all other premium economy seats have their tray table stowed in the armrest anyway. The same applies to 21A, C, H, and K. Seat 22D, E, F, and G are indeed bulkhead and they do have slightly restricted legroom.
I sat in 25C on an overnight flight. Premium Economy on Lufthansa was fantastic. I did not like that Premium Economy was last to board out of EWR. I paid more so I would expect to be boarded right after business class. The seat was wide and roomy, lots of leg room for 6'2" guy. Service was fantastic. I would definitely fly Premium Economy over Economy anytime.
The worst seat is 45J. You can't even lean on the wall to get some rest because the seat is 12 inches from the wall. My partner and I were completely uncomfortable during this 9 hour flight from FRA to EWR. I don't know any male over 5'8" that could sit in such a narrow seat. We had to take turns eating our meal because the seats are so small. The flight attendants were amazing and were very attentive. In the galley the put out additional waters and snacks but I don't think anyone knew. I will never ever fly Lufthansa in Economy every again.
These seats do not recline fully, leg room is cramped and it costs a bomb to secure these seats! Stay away from this entire row, as the long flights in these seats are painful!
Premium economy. Well worth the extra $. Lots of leg room for 6”2” so. Amenities kit.
Quite loud when meals are arranged just behind. Reduced capacity of overhead bin due to emergency equipment in overhead bin.
Lufthansa 797 Hong Kong > Frankfurt 46 H + 46 J Foot area for these seats have media equipment. So under the "45" seats there is media equipment.
As other have said: Row 21, seats A, C, H, K can be really annoying if there is a line in front of the wash room. There is no barrier, some waiting people there even tread on the feet of the people sitting in row 21. I would mark those seats as red, not yellow. In addition, seats D, E, F, G have limited legroom due to the bulkhead. I do not understand why PE was placed in between economy segments instead of directly after the business cabin.
AVOID ROW 16 Row 16 is Baby and Families so no sleep at all because of noise of Babys and Children chatting at night long with there parents
Paid for an upgrade from economy to premium economy wich proved to be a good ideea because of the extra legroom we got. Food was mediocre at best but service was better.
It is a standard seat however there is a metal box under the seat 40K which makes leg room narrower than other seats.
It is a bulkhead seat but with plenty of legroom. Recommended.
This seat is terrible. The curtain separating Business and Economy takes away half your leg room. Because it's the first row with smaller aisles, carts and personnel keep bumping into you.
I chose this seat because it was premium (extra cost) and claimed more comfort. Yes it had more legroom but it was probably the narrowest seat I had ever experienced. That wasn’t the biggest problem, however. Due to the seat configuration , the seat goes into the aisle, causing lots of knee bumps.
Entertainment box reduces space fir feet
