No problems on this flight. Food was pretty bad, on the similar flight to Shanghai the snack was much better. No problem with boarding and disembarkation either. Plane is older, seats uncomfortable. Overall, felt (and was) a budget flight.
I had a comfortable, normal-sized economy, window seat. F;light was smooth, on time, and the cabin crew members were friendly, spoke good English, were attentive and helpful/
A pretty good flight - short, smooth, service very efficient. Inflight snack (surprised we even got one on a two hour flight) was very decent. Small problem at check-in - the automated kiosk kicked me out on the last step, so had to line up again to check in at the desk. The agent didn't add my frequent flyer number. Not a big deal, but more hassle for me to deal with it later. Also, the seat itself was not very comfortable.
flights were ok ( I did not expect much) but ground service ( ticket counters) were not so good . Ticket counter in HKT would not issue a ticket for transfer in CTU . It as a mess when I went through immigration ( even just transit) with no ticket . Immigration person did not know what to do. eventually his supervisor waved me on ( but for got to open the gate until he notice I could not proceed) I went to the ticket counter in CTU to get my ticket and once again no ticket issued for on going flight ( on asiana) in ICN and in ICN directed to the wrong transit counter to get the asiana ticket a lot of walking. I am going ( if covid does not change things) in Oct. from Pek to HKt on air china I hope their get their stuff together by then.
I traveled from Korea to Pakistan via China with my family. The flight from Korean to China was good but the flight from Beijing to Islamabad was the worst I have ever used (I have used more than 13 airlines). The quality of food was very bad, the seat spacing was not enough. The room for leg was very narrow. Literally, the food was boiled beans (very bad taste) for the flight from Islamabad to Beijing via Karachi. I have young kids and it was very annoying.
£2000 to travel one way from PVG to LHR. Served porridge for breakfast and lunch. Seating room was limited. Worst flight I've ever taken.
I have flown several times with Air China from Paris to Hong Kong in the last few years. I flew on business class with transit at a Chinese city, usually Beijing. The time is less than 17 hours compare to about 12 hours for a direct flight with Air France but the fare is about half of that of a direct flight. I found the food is good, the service excellent and it has the cheapest fare for business class from Paris to HK. I have flown with Lufthansa and Swiss Air, both business class with transit at a European city, also good, but more expansive.
Absolutely Horrendous if it was possible to rate minus stars they would be getting it!! Flight home to the U.K. from Manila Philippines cancelled by Air China 5 hours before I was due to fly, the whole thing was booked through lastminute.com who have been absolutely useless from the minute I was in trouble not only have they never responded to any email or phone call just like air China the lying company here advised me I would be refunded half of my trip £360 in February ......June 30th now and not a single penny received! I have been left over £1000 out of pocket as I was left stranded over 7000 miles from home and lastminute.com advised me that they nor air China were willing to put us on another flight to the U.K. I advised them it’s their obligation to make sure we got home safely whether the new flight costs them more or not and the advisor I spoke to was unbelievably rude and said it wasn’t his problem ...... I would never recommend this company to anyone and to be honest with how long it has been with no reply or refund I’m currently in the process of acquiring legal advice as I will make sure that not only lastminute.com but also Air China pay for the absolute S*** storm they left me in back in February!!
Basically stole my money, worst customer service I have ever experienced will opt for other airlines even at a 50% increased price. This airline makes a lot of money from scamming customers. What happened is I request a refund to my flight because of COVID-19 which was supposed to be a full refund. However what I learned after calling is in order to get refunded for the flight I can not file for a refund online, it had to be a phone call in order to get a refund. Is this confusing? That's because it is, I did an online 'request to refund' and received no refund. So AirChina canceled my flight and took my money! How does that make sense at all?? I tried calling them several times and their answer was always different, they canceled the flight and I am out of my money for a flight they never flew all because some side loop hole to screw me over. Seems this is common place for this company and I am personally avoid them for all my future flights, while they are cheap you get what you pay for obviously and the last thing I need when I am trying to take a vacation is dealing with this nightmare of a company.

I booked flights on the 28th Jan to travel in March this year on Business Class RTN to UK to Phukek. By the 9th Feb Covid was becoming Alarming and I called Air China Customer support asking if I could get a full refund as it was looking very unlikely that the flight would be honoured and or I would`nt want or be able to fly. I was informed that I could indeed process a full request and it would be honoured. (THIS WAS A RECORDED CALL) I was advised by the customer service agent to us the online refunds form to do this. I did and then got a response 19 days later by email informing me that the refund had been processed as per Air China refund rules and I would recieve £252.87 per ticket!!!!! The full refund value should have been £3187.74. I got on the phone to the customer service center and thus is the start of long drawn out complaint that STILL has`nt been completed with either a yes or a no to my request for the Full refunad as I was promised on a recorded call to Air China on the 9/10th Feb. Contact History 9th Feb Told refund not possible 10th Feb Told refund now of after I had read additional info posted on Facebook Rang and got clarifaction to proceed for FULL REFUND. 18th Feb called Air China to check refund progress told to hold on as low staff and delays in processing 29th Feb Email recieved showing incorrect refund!!! 29th Feb Rang Air China to complain about refund advised it would be looked into and I would get a response soon. 29th Feb recalled Air China as my complaint did`nt feel right to me and felt I needed to push harded a lady called Lue told me that it would be looked into and I would recieve a response soon. 6th March Rang Air China spoke with Alex and asked to wait a further 7 days. 17th March Rang Air China spoke to Basil and requested information to esculate the complaint to a supervisor. was advised that it was`nt possible and said the refunds department was over run (understandable) 17th March I decided to reply to the email I recieved on the 29th to see if I got a response. I DID NOT GET A RESPONSE!! 3rd April emailed ukoffice@airchina.com About the ongoing refund issue...GOT NO REPONSE!! 5th April Rang Air China Spoke with Getter. Still advised to wait. During this call I decided to request 2 things. 1. A copy of the recording on the 10th Feb That would clearly show I was VERBALLY told I would recive a FULL REFUND. 2. A email to show that Air China was actually investigating my complaint. 5Th April Email recieved showing that a investigation was ongoing. 5th May Rang Air China spoke with Alliki. I asked her to investigate or get a supervisor to investigate why nothing was happening with my FULL REFUND. As of today I still have nothing NO COPY OF MY RECORDED CALL ON THE 10TH FEB NO EMAILS NO CALLS from any department and certainly have NO REFUND. If Air China`s represenative had not promised me a full refund on the 10th Feb then I would NEVER of APPLIED FOR A REFUND until I was advised it was ok to do and as we all know Covid would have prevented my travel anyway on the 21st March just 2 days before UK went in to Lockdown along with many other countries all around the world. My level of frustration with Air China is beyond anything I have experienced in my entire life of travel with Airlines all over the world I feel like I AM BANGING MY HEAD AGAINST AN BRICK WALL PLEAE HELP OR ATLEAST GET SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THIS CASE...!!
Good economy class aisle seat on the flight from Beijing (PEK) to Ningbo (NGB). Flight delay happened after we boarded the plane, but crew were friendly and offered us drinks.
Easy check in and fast boarding. The flight attendants are extremely friendly and the cabins are very comfortable and air conditioned. Likely to recommend.
I flew to Thailand but with the Corona virus they cancelled the flight from Bangkok to London and wouldn't help to bring people back or give a refund so that we can take alternative flights. They were the worst unhelpful airline. Once they get your money they don't care about the customers.
Air China has no regard for customer service, cleanliness or hygiene. They have to be the rudest and most aggressive airline in the world. I travel regularly and have never encountered such awful treatment and rudeness in more than 20 years of travel. Swim before you choose this awful airline.
Worst rudest customer service of any airline after flying other airlines regularly for 20 years. They have no grasp on customer service, hygiene or etiquette. No matter how cheap their fares are it doesn’t compensate for their rudeness and just awful. Run or swim as an alternative.
It was a very nice flight, with timely departure and arrival. Though the fare of the Air China was a little more expensive than other options, I opted to fly with them as I had found their service more reliable.
Air China is excellent. The staff were very friendly and gave me great service. The seats were top notch and the food/drinks were the best I ever seen. There was curry, with bread/ butter, and fruit salad. When I found my luggage—guess what. It was good as new! I recommend this airline to around the world
Nothing great, nothing terrible....just premium economy for $150 extra. Definitely worth the added leg room
Service was very satisfying, staff always helpful. On time. Entertainment on demand was on high level.
