This Alaska Plane is a really nice plane for my family. It is set up for comfort. Seats are comfortable. There was enough room for all 3 of us but we were all 5'8" or less. There is a USB and power plug on each seat. The tablet/phone rack is a really nice feature. No need to lower your head to look at the screen. Low noise for these seats next to the front of the engines. I would fly this plane any day.
While Seat 11D has a bit extra knee room, it has no under seat foot room because Row 10 Crew Seat directly in front is attached to a 90 degree perpendicular solid panel mounted to the floor, like a bulkhead. Seat 11D has less foot room than a standard seat and should be coded Yellow or Red. (12/3/19)
Row 10 does have floor storage under Row 9. Tray tables are stored in the armrests so all seats in Row 10 may be narrower. The window seats in Row 10 have short exterior armrests due to exit doors.
These are new seats and design. A wall outlet and USB port is on each seat. There is even a Phone or Tablet rack above the table. This is a very comfortable plane. I am 5'8" and there was more than enough legroom. Very quiet in front of the engines.
The legroom in Row 10 is great, but the Window seats 10A and 10F can see out a window only when the seat is reclined (and even then it's a partial view). And the setback pockets that are normally in the seat ahead of you are on the door. At least there's power at every seat. To make matters worse, the overhead bins are not available for this row due to emergency equipment. So, you have to scramble to find space for your bag. One more thing: the plane we were on had standard overheads, rather than the larger ones found on the 737-900s. So, less bag space. And the lavs were narrow. Probably not my favorite Alaska aircraft, despite a quiet ride.
The Airbus is a very comfortable plane: nice seats, good lights and air vent placement. That said, avoid row 9 at all costs. Complete lack of window and recline was 1" at best. I would have NEVER picked this seat - but got stuck with it.
I wish all of Alaska's airplanes were this Airbus. Tired of flying on the old POS 737's. This airplane was big, quiet and very comfortable to Reagan. Plus it lands very nicely compared to those Boeings. I never really liked the old white First Class seats, these are very comfortable for a cross country flight.
