flew FRA-LAX on A380 in eco. Upper Level has in the back a section with 5 rows from 95-99 in Eco. GREAT. Feels like a little private Jet. Very quiet. 2-seater left and right; 4 seats in middle. Window seats have extra space between seat and window for books, bags. Last rows 98 left and right have plenty of space behing the seat and can fully recline; space enough for big suitcases. Even 98 in front of toilet is good. BAD: tv screen can only be used by touch screen so you allways have to lean forwafrd and push the seat in front of you. I wont take that! So in that case last rows 98 and 99 are best. Allthough 99 is very special since it has only 3 seats and 1 of the screens is blank. 1st row 95 has huge space; bulkhead is far away. And table and Joystick in armrest don't bother.
This window seat is located in the upper rear of the plane, behind Business class. The seat give extra elbow room due to the deep locker under the window, where you also can put all your belongings and then some. This part of the economy class is small, so the service is fast. There are no noise from the galley except at the 2 meals. And almost no noise from the toilets. So this must be the roomiest seat in the most quiet place in the economy class.
Getting onboard was quite a bunfight but then they all seem to have this at MIA. We were on the upper deck so the ceiling was a lot lower than the main deck and would probably affect any claustrophobic passengers, this was heightened when the "person" in front of me decided to push his seat back as far as possible straight after takeoff. SO whilst he had loads of room for his dinner, water, beer and whisky I struggled.I found it impossible to walk to the aisle, eventually clambering out at a 45 degree angle. The flight was otherwise uneventfull and crew were attentive and pleasant 2 2
Terrible seat. The seats were positioned in between frontal seats so the screens were diagonally positioned instead of frontal.
Seats 99D - 99G are all off-set, centered behind the 4 seats in front of them. But the ondemand movie screens are still on the backs of the seats in front, which means they are off center and you have to lean to watch anything. Also the legs from the seats in front are right in the middle of where your feet actually fall, thus you accidentally kick the seat legs regularly. Tray tables are located in the arm rests.
Seat 52D and 52G are very recommended seats as the missing bulkhead in front of you allows you to fully stretch your legs. Seats 52 E and 52F are not recommended because of limited lefroom due to the bulkhead in front. The whole row 52 istn't bothered by the stairs at all as the stairs begin in the front of the section.
Lufthansa basic economy seat, IFE box under seat in front limits leg room. good location in plane. IFE did not work in this seat. noticed a several seats with this problem
Awesome economy seat ... upstairs right behind business class with almost unlimited room, limited traffic in the aisle
The seat is quite comfortable and feels slightly larger due to the window right next to you. There is a lot of legroom available. The pillow, blanket and the headrest will give you a good sleep. As the seat is well alligned with the window you will get a decent view fo the wing and engines. As the seat is loacted close to the door from where economy passengers board you will reach your seat in less than a minute after boarding the aircraft.
The seat has a good amount of legroom and seems very spacious due to the window being right next to you. The window and the seat are well alligned giving you a decent view to the wing and the engines. The seat is very well located as the door for economy is a few rows up and hence you will be on your seat in lees than a minute after boarding the aircraft.
Most of the leg space for this is used by a media/metal box under seat 88K. It makes this seat extremely uncomfortable for long flights.
The tray tables are in the armrests, making them immovable and slightly reducing seat width. However, the seats on this a380 area already wider than is typical for economy (18" as opposed to 16-17"). Additionally, this row is behind a bulkhead, meaning that there is significant extra leg room.
Seat unsuitable for long haul flight. Due to silver boxes on floor next to forward seat legs - no foot rests and all three pax in row had less foot room. Seat was hard and cheap. Entertainment system substandard. Due to lack of value, lack of customer service (on ground and in air) and inferior inflight meals, I would never use Lufthansa again or recommend them. Will stick with Singapore Air
Awesome seat!
Long Leg Room, when compare with other long leg room seat, this is relatively far away from lavatory and also aisle, therefore less disturbance. While at the same time, can enjoy the free access as there is no front seat. Just a bit cold, and the view is totally blocked by wing.
Great seat. I was trampled from the upper floor, in the premium economy, and I was really pleased. A lot of space, comfortable seats, extra convenience. Superior. I recommend.
Seats 95C, D, G , H have trays in armrest making them immovable and reducing the hip room a bit. In row 95, all TV monitors are on pull out, stow-able links which may cause restrictions in getting in/out of seats.
There is an AV/utility box under 95C (in front of 96C) which restrict the under-seat leg room for people sitting in 96C. 96H may have the same issue. I would avoid 96C and 96H
This seat, as well as the others in the same row in the centre of the cabin, does not have any floor stowage due to the bulkhead. Additionally it does not have a latch bin above either due to the stairs to the upper deck. This was causing problems on the flight I have just been on for passengers seated here, as they had nowhere to put their carry on bags.
The seat has less legroom than the normal seats as you can not stretch out the legs as the wall is in front.
