Our flight was canceled but they want to keep $600 for processing and handling on a $2,400 ticket. Spent hours trying to fix this through a travel company called justfly.com. They say it's the airlines fault. No way to reach Royal Jordanian through the US. Both the travel company and the airlines are terrible. I would only book direct after this.
If you are reading this and are STILL trying to get a refund from this horrible, dishonest and thieving organization, please send a letter to Ambassador KAWAN in Washington DC at the Jordanian embassy. If enough of us write, maybe they will listen!!
Avoid this airline at all costs!! Absolutely shocking - never ending calls to the call centre and at least 10 emails, which took an average of 7 days to respond to each one to simply arrange a travel voucher for cancelled flights. Responses were extremely vague and rarely provided any clarity or solutions, which meant the process of communicating with completely incompetent staff began once again. On numerous occasions agents would simply hang up or pass the buck. I was warned not to use this airline, but unfortunately paid no heed as there were some positive reviews - big mistake!! PLEASE avoid this airline - truly unpleasant, and as a frequent flyer of many airlines, by far THE WORST one my family and I have ever come across.
This airline thinks it is ok to steal your money after they canceled a flight! I have made so many phone calls and sent so many letters with no restitution. Never fly this airline or do business with them....shame on you! I will not give up....way too much money...I will not allow them to break the law and steal.
Very bad customer service, you can call the call centre and stay on hold for half an hour three times consecutive and then they hang up on you
WORST AIRLINE EVER. Phone numbers on websites do not work and lead to no where. No one answers emails. No one calls back. DO NOT USE. This airline is a scam and should be shut down for theft.
I thought by choosing national airlines I will be in good hands. NO NO NO !!! They cancelled my flight for which i paid aed1595 and now offering refund of aed415!!! They cancelled my flight, they didn't even run it and now they taking 75% of what I paid!!! getting through to customer service is a disaster and email response is just copy and paste from a template. AVOID! better to spend more money and fly with reliable airline
The staff from checking in and checking out are terrible, not helpful at all. The air hostesses weren't ok.
For more than a week I have been trying to reach the Israeli branch by telephone, but without success. I guess that RJ can take your money but not to refund it after they canaled the flight I understand that I have no real choice but to sue That is a pity
Out of touch staff, disorganised, dictatorial approach and the most miserable travel experience ever including bad service on board and tasteless food and rotten fruits. At the arrivals hall in Amman airport you are greeted with very slow customs officers who treat you like idiots. Then you go to the agonising experience of waiting for your luggage with rude people pushing and shoving only to discover after two hours that they had left one of your bags back at London airport. The staff at the "lost baggage office" which is a disaster in its entirety, were clueless and extremely out of touch. Will never, ever, ever, ever use this unfriendly airline or visit this country again!!!
very bad experience with them. they deduct more that 200 $ for nothing despite i paid 40 $ as a secure for my flight. i do not recommend it at all for any one .and also Expedia website as well as no support from them.
The flight was canceled from them they refused to give me a cash refund customer service is horrible
RJ cancelled my flight due to COVID. Their customer service was atrocious -- long wait times on the phone, rude reps, and emails that took over 2 weeks for a response. Phone reps told me to email and wait. While the airline cancelled the flights, their options were 1 year voucher or a refund w/ a $250 fee per ticket. It took almost 3 weeks to hear these options! When I said 'no' they told me to email customer service and hung up. This is why credit cards do chargebacks! No way will I fly them in the future, and it's a shame b/c that means I likely won't go to Jordan.
After Royal Jordanian canceled the flight in anticipation of the airport being shutdown, and failing to provide alternate transportation in the days leading up to the shutdown, I was forced to buy a return ticket on Qatar. Royal Jordanian is now refusing to fully refund the return portion of the ticket for their canceled flight in violation of international law, US DOT rules (which apply to ANY flights to/fm the US), and IATA/ICAO rules. They are thieves, plain and simple. And their service when they do fly is mediocre at best. Do NOT give this airline any of your money.
its scam company this cancel the flight on us after while they want us to pay extra !!!! Really we didnt cancel they canceled on us costumer service is poor never respond to the emails get other airline Qatar , Emirate ,Turkey better than Jordanian
I quite like RJ. It is not a really fancy airline but it gets you to and from Amman with good food and good service. However, on this recent flight check in was terribly slow, there were no clear directions to the lounge, boarding was very inefficient and slow, and even after we got called over to a previously nonexistent line to board, there was a long wait on the jetway before actually getting on the plane. Legroom also Of course the flight then left late. I still think it is a decent airline for long hauls but I think RJ personnel can do a better job.
Airline cancelled the flight and refuses to give a full refund. They are stealing money from customers by refusing to give full refunds--they are not providing the service yet keeping people's money anyways. They offered a flight voucher worth less than the full value as well, only so that they could keep the money, knowing that many people won't be able to use these vouchers (in an effort to keep all of your money so that you lose it all). They strongly convince you to accept the voucher and say that you will lose almost half of your flight cost if you ask for a refund, and strongly discourage going for even a half refund. Ridiculous! Don't book unless you want the risk of paying for a service you never receive (I mean, imagine a restaurant is closed and they still make you pay for the meal you would have eaten. Or paying for any other service when the provider canceled the service and no longer provides it.) scam, avoid at all costs
the worst experience of my life!! I travel often and have never experienced such rude and unprofessional customer service. I've work in customer service so I know how tough the job can be and try to be as nice as possible, and this is the first bad review I've ever written in my life. So let me explain I came to Egypt on vacation and for unforeseeable reasons they cancelled my flight. which would have been fine if I had gotten a proper heads up about it. The email they sent had no indication that my flight was cancelled except in the subject line. The email itself said to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to my flight. I was confused so I decided to call the offices in Egypt for the next 3 days. Only to have them not answer and force me to make an international call to the Jordan customer service line. when I finally got ahold of a representative, he was extremely rude, sarcastic and unhelpful. He said I had to pay an extra 300 dollars to change my flight but that they were waiving the cancellation fee like he was doing me a favor. my round trip flight cost about 600 that would have meant paying for a completely new flight. when I tried to explain that to him he gave me attitude and directed me to email any complaints to their customer service team. what followed was a bunch of useless back and forth emails to get a measly apology. I dont want apologies I want solutions. I've lost my job because of this. Im left stranded in a foreign country. I've had to extend my stay to accommodate for no return flight. costing me money I don't have. I would never recommend this airline and ill be sure to review and post about my story In every platform. I don't want whats happening to me to happen to someone else. I've reached out to the us embassy to see what they can do to help me get back home. save yourself the trouble and book literally any other airline!!!!!
Shame on you! The only airlines that left its passengers stranded without an alternative or a refund. They also made sure not to answer any calls in their office or respond to email. This is despicable in Corona times. I encourage all fellow passengers to take notice. I have to book and pay for the flight back home, which I did with reputable companies KLM/AirFrance/Delta. Don't get tempted by the Jordanian's lower price because in the end you will pay much more when they cancel your flight without offering an alternative or a refund.
Quite good. Comfortable seats. Friendly staff Reasonable Food. Not too long stay at Amman for the connecting Flight
