The interior is old but confortable. It wasn't clean in Lisbon. Very tiring flight. No free service onboard. Bought a vegetarian lasagne, it was a regretful idea.
Worst airline and worst customer support. The customer service is rude and they never work towards a solution. They always find excuses for the airline and imply that the airline is never responsible for anything.
Not impressed thus far... Airmalta cancelled flight for Aug 9. Learned 17 days in advance. Looking for phone number to call... I do not have an international calling plan. Suggestions? Have emailed but no reply.
These guys are fundamentally dishonest. They ended up charging me for three different sets of return flights, after cancelling the returns to two cities. They refuse to communicate by email or phone, and send dishonest responses to credit card companies when I dispute charges for cancelled flights. Fly with an airline that values the customer
I am due to fly to Malta on 4th October from Gatwick & return to Gatwick on 20th O!ctober. However it appeared that there might not be any flights so contacted Air Malta via facebook messenger. I was replied to by a lady called Alison who was very helpful. She changed our flights from Gatwick to Heathrow on the same days at no extra cost. She also said if things changed & flights from Gatwick became available if I so desired I could changed back. New tickets were emailed to me straight away. It all took less than 90 minutes. Very impressed with the way Alison looked after me. Well done
After reading the latest reviews I do have a feeling that we all have lost our money. This airline is a scam! Today submitted my case through resolver! Since April no money, no voucher, only empty promises.
I travel for a living and have never experienced such terrible customer service. My flight was cancelled due to Covid 19 and have been struggling with trying to rebook my Air Malta flight since. I’ve tryed everything for over 2mths...is that normal? You offer vouchers on your site, but do not respond to e-mails and ignore customer e-mails.” I have filled out forms which are ignored, I’ve called and been hung up on, told someone would call me back and nothing. I am still waiting to resolve this. Stop ignoring your customers Air Malta! It’s a disgrace how you treat people. Shame on you!
Horrible thieving lying airline. They Cancelled my flight FOUR months ago and no refund still and they can’t tell me when or if they are processing the refund. Never again - at least BA had the decency to refund me within 24 hours.
Legspace and seats the same as in economy, no choice of food, low quality of meals. Staff isn't helpful at all. Budget airline standards; Airline refused to refund 2 flights canceled due to covid. Don't waste your money to book "business class" with this unreliable airline.

Absolutely appalling customer service, advised of flight cancellations in March for early April flights & advised of a refund email address to claim by. I have now emailed numerous times to the refund email address & have not even had an acknowledgement of our claim, let alone when we will get a refund. I’m owed for 5 return flights & it is money I desperately need in these difficult times.
We were understandably informed that our flight involving 8 adults was cancelled due to the pandemic, that was on the 05 May 2020...... We were informed by automated message. We have asked via the website, filling out the various forms several times for a full refund but have not had a reply or any contact. We have tried to ring Air Malt Customer Service but the message refers you back to filling in the forms, after several attempts this is proving quite upsetting as there is quite a lot of money at stake. The Air B&B we were booked into has already given us a full refund. Please Air Malta, respond to your customers! Let us know what is happening. Communication is not a dirty word.
I was slightly disappointed with my Air Malta experience. Wwe flew from Palermo to Malta, then to Rome after our holiday. In Palermo, there was only one check in counter open, which was necessary for us since we had to check our luggage. Thankfully we arrived early and there was only a very small queue. Palermo airport has terrible signage, we didn’t know where the check in counter was until we walked to the wrong zone. Boarding was done by bus at Palermo, all flights had bus gates. In Malta this is fine since there is literally no physical gates. Boarding was rather fast, and there were no zones, everybody can board at the same time. Both A320s we flew were older. The first flight was an all economy configuration, so the system gave us row 2, and row 3 was empty so I moved back to get a view of the landing. On the flight to Rome it was a bit weird, i was sent multiple emails asking if I would like to get upgraded, for what actually would’ve cost me double my ticket cost. Nobody was actually sitting in the first three rows, we had row 4 so I wanted to move to row 3 but the crew didn’t let me or anybody else. Service on both flights seemed nonexistent. I expected a drinks service on the Rome flight. The crew were friendly, seemed professional and helpful to those who needed help. Overall, a below average experience, if flying from Italy, I would recommend them. If flying from the UK or other parts of Europe, try to consider another carrier as well.
I have been waiting since the middle of March for a refund for a cancelled flight. They promised the refund but since then they don't bother to reply to emails. They have offered vouchers by facebook which are not acceptable. The people who are not on facebook haven't been advised of their so called options so are still awaiting replies from Air Malta. I have been a loyal customer for 30 years but I doubt that I will use them again. I have selected March 2020 for date of travel as its a required field but the journey didn't happen!
I always chose to fly with Air Malta to get to the lovely Island. The friendly service is first class even in economy. Comfortable at a reasonable price.
Good overall service. Loved the lounge. Spectacular views of the sunrise from an external area where one can go outside and enjoy the non-airconditoned fresh air! The business class service on board was reasonably ok. I believe the air hostesses seemed a bit slow or regarding drink service, but apart from that everything was awesome!
I had a terrible headache and we asked for water. We explained to the flight attendant that I was not well. After a long wait, my husband went to the back of the plane and took a bottle of water. Five minutes later, the attendant came to demand payment for the water.
Check in went smoothly, all staff were friendly. Cabin crew were polite. No complimentary drinks. Comfortable and clean aeroplane, very good for a standard flight.
I will absolutely never book with Air Malta again, and will never recommend them to anyone. We have booked 2 separate flights with them and have not been able to take either due to coronavirus restrictions. Despite their website promising refunds, after being on hold for 4 hours the staff refused to issue a refund. Never fly with Air Malta, they are thrives and liars.
