Our flight had been cancelled and without noticing us they have rescheduled us on another flight. When we realized that they had already separate my partner and I in 2 separate seats . It is not the first time they have done it to us. Even on the same reservation code when the flight move schedule time from even 1 minute ...then they don t care about separate the seats . Then it is your duty to ask people in the flight to change and it is complicates We re in business class and they are rsponsible of the changes ! COPA AIRLINES WHEN PEOPLE MAKE A RESERVATION TOGETHER THEY STILL WANT TO BE SEATED TOGETHER ! If you change the flight time table or cancel it then we should be rescheduled with sNe 2 seats together on the new flight ! Obviously !
I booked two flights in different occasions both were cancelled the moment I needed to go back home. Never not once did copa inform no flights were permitted. All they do is reserve and take your money. But getting a refund is next to impossible. Do not book with copa. Seriously folks I was stuck in a foreign country for 3 months. American airlines had no problem committing people without losing their money. Be careful
I booked a flight from Panama, city Panama, my grandmother died, when I was checking the clerk saw a problem with my Resident card, at the end he proceeded to almost scream telling me that I could not use my card anymore or they will take.
I booked a flight for March 30 to the DR & it was cancelled due to the Coronavirus which is expected & not their fault. After I found out my flight was cancelled, I tried to contact them to request a refund because it wouldn’t work on their website & the only number they have available for the U.S was not in service for over 2 months. I emailed them & didn’t get a response for 4 weeks & they said I would have to wait 8 weeks for a refund. 8 weeks passed & I still did not receive a refund. I decided to just rebook since the borders would be open in July. I rebooked my flight & they decided to notify me the day before my flight that my flight was cancelled. I called them & now their phones are finally working but when I spoke to the customer service reps, they had no sympathy for me & just kept saying I would have to wait till August 7. I asked to speak to a supervisor & he was no help at all. So I had to book a new flight with American Airlines & pay extra money plus delay my trip by 4 days because of them. Now I have to wait a extra 8 weeks just to get my money back. I would advise everyone to just steer clear of this airline. Their customer service is horrible & I feel like I’m going to have a very hard time trying to get my money back.
Copa has been extremely difficult to deal with. They would not honor a refund after canceling my flights and not being able to rebook in the country we live in. They do not respond to emails, call times are extremely long with no resolution, and they won’t even work with my bank. Would not recommend them at all.
Nassau to Houston via Panama City. The wedding / trip was canceled due to covid and no refund would be given by Copa or through the insurance I also purchased. Horrible! Out 300.00. Purchasing through Priceline. A third party also made things a challenge still with no refund.
My flight was cancelled by COPA and per DOT requirements they must refund the entire cost of the ticket...after a lenthy battle they said they would process a refund after filing a DOT complaint. Guess we know what became of my refund $0.... Guess they would rather take their customers money and hide.
Took this from Panama City to Quito. Flight was on time. Other than the fact that there is no in-flight entertainment system, everything (service, seat, leg room, etc) else was satisfactory. Flight was pretty smooth as well.
True to Covid we are unable to travel and Copa Airlines doesn't give any refund. Never ever more. We travelled since many years with them but its the last time!
This flight was as smooth as any other given that it was a short one. The boarding process was OK, as well as the waiting time prior to departure. The food was basic and there was no entertainment aboard other than magazines.
Copa Airlinse has cancelled our flights for no stated reason and is refusing to offer any refund for the tickets. We are unable to rebook, and so we have no way to recover our money. If you book with Copa YOU MAY LOSE YOUR TICKET AND MONEY.
Fortaleza to San Juan via Panama City. This is definitely the worst of the worst airlines ever. I came to check in at Fortaleza airport in Brazil like 3 hours earlier. The manager wouldn't let me checked in because apparently there was a problem with my ESTA to enter America. Then he took 4 hours to check that everything was ok, to then said everything is fine now. By that time my flight had already left and he would't give me a new flight or give me a refund although it was all his fault for taking so long to check on something. I ended up losing $1400, how horrible. I would definitely never book a flight with this airline and i wouldn't recommend anyone to fly with them. They have the worst policies and don't they even care about there customers.
I travel extensively and wanted to try an airline to get us into the international state of mind. Copa. Made reservations via Copa airlines for two, $1,500, received confirmation numbers, emails from Copa, charges to AE number, etc. Got to airport, they didn't have any information at check in. Showed all the confirmations, etc. No GO. Not in system.....We had to pay full amount of over $2,300 or we couldnt go. Could not cancel all the hotels, tours, etc. so we had to pay. The ticket counter/customer service reps had NO interest in helping us. Almost didn't make the flight, was at the desk for over 40 minutes. OK, back in US. Just wanted a credit on credit card for the difference between confirmation ticket and what we actually paid at check in. No Go. Copa has the worst.... and I mean the worst... customer service and virtually no way of contacting for complaints, resolutions, etc. Don't go on this airline!! It might be cheaper than United, American, etc. but they do not and will not offer any resolutions or steps as such. We still are trying... to no avail.....
Booked a flight for June 5th Medellin to Kelowna with Cheapoair. April 26 the flight has changed or cancelled with info as to which. Very poor info with no explanation. Tried to call reservations which is not working. Can't change the flight info online. It would appear that Copa has withdrawn the flight but is not providing credits. Cheapoair is Cheap o service.

This review serves both Cheapoair and Copa. 4th flight cancelled. Called reservations, no service. No explation of cancelled flight. Can't book a replacement flight online. Horrible customer service. But they can quickly take your money not to return it.
Guayaquil to New York via Panama City. Extremely disappointed with service from Copa. We were stranded in Ecuador by them. By 14th of March Ecuadorian government had imposed restrictions entering the country starting on 16th of March. These restrictions did not affect departing flights. on 16th of March we purchased tickest from Guayaquil to JFK via Panama City on the 18th of March so only 2 days later. By that time Copa had to be aware of the restrictions already. On 17th our flight was canceled by Copa and the customer rep on the phone insisted that there's nothing they can do as the government forbid them to fly. Which is simply not true. I made an request for refund on their website and they denied it stating that they can only offer me chance to change the ticket until end of 2021. Which is a very crappy deal as I have no intention flying with them again. I feel they scammed me out of the money as they had to already know they will cancel the flight when I purchased the tickets. This is not okay in any way. Luckily Interjet didn't cancel their flights and we could fly to New York via Cancun instead (off-course cost quite a lot).
I got sick during my flight to santa cruz and flight crew took good care of me. Although there is no in flight entertainment, it is, affordable and food is average. Enough leg room to strecth too. Seats not comfortable though. Good airline.
Things are crazy with Covid. Had a returned flight booked for on COPA. Given the Covid, paid $600 to change ticket for earlier return. Was able to book April 25. Later they called and canceled the 25th. Was able to re-book for May 2nd. They again canceled. At this point, I decided to bite the bullet and go back to my original return date and requested they refund what I paid to change the ticket. They refused but told me my ticket was good until the end of the year. It is amazing how as a passenger I have to be understanding when they cancel their flights, but they have no regard for doing what is fair to the passenger. COPA is an archine airline that should not be operating internationally. Their English is horrible and every phone connection reminded me of 1970's international calling.
