Feb 28th flew from SFO to MUC in C-class. seat ok when sitting. but when lying flat unacceptable: small space for feet not larger than a shoe box; legs and knees of neighbours are closer together than you would wish with your friends or Family. seats are not seperated by a Shell or similar evebn when lying down. Armrest very uncomfortable when lying flat as it disappears and your arms slide towards isle. TV programe limited: no News channels; Joystick quite difficult to use. Food is not to Mention - in a positive way: meal not much better than in eco; bread was soft; selection small. Staff very friendly. Overall plane much noisier than A380 which I flew a week earlier to LAX. Overall: not worth the money. Best seat in the plane value-for-money is frow 31 left and right as all 2-seater and about 2 meters space
Seat was standard, with standard leg room. Beware that the seats in this area have very limited overhead luggage space as the seats on the right next to the staircase have none and above 40A, 40C, 39A and 39C the emergency kit is placed. If you enter the plane not late, you will have your carry-on between your legs the whole time... Anywhere near the staircase is a no-go for me. This seat is also behind 38A and whoever posted this: 38A is not a seat with extra legroom, you cannot exit the row without bothering your neighbor.
As mentioned before, yes, that seat (also D and E) has extra legroom. But be aware, that this is also has the place for a bassinet ... I had a family with 1 yo next to me ... Also - D and G seats are likely to be hit with the trolley, when it is coming from the front. Next time I would choose 25 A or K or in regular economy - row 31 any.
The seats from 38 through 40 (D-E) are way slimmer than a regular seat. About a full inch and a half. The bathroom stairway wall is flat so it's not the same as seating by the window. You have less arm space and it could be a really bad idea if your claustrophobic. I can't believe this is the first comment about this problem with these seats. Horrible choice! And to make things worse I PAID more for these seats following seat guru's advice (face-palm)
There is no bulkhead at this seat. There is a small divider hanging from the overhead luggage compartments but it only goes down to the headrest. There is an exceptional amount of room at this seat. You can store items under the seat in front of you and still stretch out. I had no regrets sitting here.
Having this seat makes the long flight easier to tolerate. Not business but much better than coach.
One of the best seats in Economy! This seat has lots of legroom. There is a divider to Economy Plus on the ceiling, but it is close to the front seat. A smaller screen and tray table are in the armrest, making the seat slightly smaller. The seat has that much legroom that I could get up and out without bothering the seat neighbor on 31B.
Described (and sold) by Lufthansa's seating diagram as Extra Legroom (true) but shown misleadingly as with a space before the seat to the right. SeatGuru's more accurate seating diagram shows that this is really a middle seat.
I chose this seat for the extra leg room. This is a mistake because of the misalign with the front seats. Worst trip ever from Frankfurt to Hong Kong. Because of the misalignment with the front seats I spend all the flight being hit by passengers passing by and got hit with the stewards and their food trolleys. WORST SEAT EVER!
First time flying business class on Lufthansa and the seats were much more uncomfortable than other airlines I have flown BC on.My back and butt could not get comfortable and even at my height 5’10” when the lie flat seats were fully extended I could not get my legs straight as they hit up against the wall separating the seats. There was also some kind of brace underneath the seat cushion that was hard on my butt. Also the plug-in for the earphones was in a very weird place for the window seat. The seat armrest had to be lowered and the plug was at the back of the opening that took a contortionist to be able to plug in.Even the attendant had trouble figuring it out.For the aisle seat it was right next to the seat.
I flew Lufthansa Flight 453 feom LAX to Munich. Seat 6d is a standard business class seat in the first of two business class cabins. The cabin was quiet ans service polite ans attentive. As others have noted, the footroom when laying seat flat is constrained. These middle seats have the advantage of not having someone crawl over you to get out from the window. I found myself too close to my neighbor in the night. Not nearly as nice as the Boing 777 AA flights from LAX to London, but loved not having to switch planes to get to Munich. On time departure and arrival. Lufthansa is an excellent carrier. I preferred the front business class cabin to the second one, where engine noise is louder.
There is no bulkhead in front of you, just little divider on the ceiling. As any front row seat, you get arm-rest monitor and table. The armrest goes all the way down, can make the seat narrower. 31AC & IK have even more room, but you cant reach the seats in front of you = nowhere to store stuff.
The seat had more legroom and space than most widebody Airbus planes. The only issue with the design of these seats is below, where the life vests are, the space that they're in hangs really low and obstructs under seat storage. In addition, there is an equipment box under the seat in front, so a backpack can barely fit under the seat in front. The seat is in a nice location near the staircase, but you cannot see through to the staircase, because on this side there is a solid wall.
10G is the worst Business Class seat I have even used. I flow from CPT to MUC. On my right the WC, on the left the purser's office. Curtains were most of the time open. Even with hearplugs I could here the WC door and the kitchen. Worst fligth ever!
I flew in 31A from Boston to Munich. Great legroom, not limited at all. One of the best legrooms you can find in this aircraft in coach. If you are travelling with your couple, 31A and 31C are your target seats.
No suprises at seat 33c.
Great seat in Premium ECO, lots of legroom and very quiet. Was a good choice for the long flight from LAX-MUC
Aware of Seat 25K if you are tall. Premium Eco is fine. I like the seat and even after 12 hours on MUC-LAX I could still enjoy sitting in this seat. BUT 25K is an exit row seat and bulkhead seat and has VERY limited legroom!! First I thought that 25K is great because of being in the Exit Row but it tuns out I was wrong. Will avoid this seat on the way back, instead I am trying to seat 26G which looked really good. The food on Premium ECO at LH is the same as on regular ECO but since I always order special meals in advance I can complain. The indian food (Hindu meal) is always great and very tasty and you get the food before anyone else!;)
I often fly MUC-ORD on this plane and 38A is my favorite. No noise from the lavatory as it is accessed behind, lots of legroom on your right and if you are thin enough, you can exit from that sidewithout bothering your neighbor.
Lufthansa Business Class seats aren't fantastic anyway on 747-800 of A380 (no single seats/limited privacy etc.). On A340, lie-flat bed is shorter (too short for my 6"5), foot space and overall space way too narrow so you are forced to stay in contact with your neighbor ... great service though.
