My wife and I travelled with Quatar for the first time between London Heathrow and Doha, the first and longest leg of our journey to India. I was generally happy with the flight experience and on the whole found the cabin crew to be helpful, courteous, very well presented and professional. Unfortunately I discovered shortly after take off that the entertainment unit for my seat position was not functioning. I brought this to the attention of members of the crew on two or three occasions, trying hard not to do so when crew were distributing meals and drinks. My wife also mentioned the issue on my behalf to crew one time further. I believe on each occasion crew undertook to reset the unit remotely which I'm sure they did however they did not return to check that the reset was successful which of course it was not. I anticipate that operation of the unit was not identified during checks in between flights otherwise crew would have been aware and reassigned the seat (there seemed to be plenty vacant) or at least have mentioned the shortcoming, I would have thought. In the end I figured that the crew were unable to deal with the issue, however I think you'll agree that someone should have come back to explain, and by current standards, this is a long journey to be without entertainment. I am sure that for an airline such as Quatar this can only be an unfortunate blip in an otherwise very classy operation. Note that my wife disagrees, her view being that the crew did not seem as available throughout the flight as she experienced on a long haul flight with another top carrier earlier this year. We are returning to the UK on 10th December and I hope the flight will be memorable for the excellent service rather than any problems and that I'll be in a position to award 5 stars for service and entertainment as well as the other categories. If you require further information regarding this issue my email address is: 2014anthony.richards@gmail.com.

This seat was one of two, even though near toilet it was actually quiet. Enjoyed just being part of only two seated row.

The economy seats are very narrow in the back. The aisle is also very narrow. It feels like Qatar are really squashing in 3x3x3. For an average build person your shoulder protrudes into the the aisle and will get knocked by everyone.

It was pretty good seat despite the other comments. Meal service was really good Amm-Doh

Not so great. Seat would not go back and one in front came down into my lap almost. Entertainment system not working correctly. Had a box in my foot space area. Air blowing down on me and coldish the whole flight.

My seat besides being very narrow, had a big problem with window!!! Since the joint for window has on the human shoulder, It meant you have to sit sideways to avoid the pressure of the window joint. Would not recommend window seats! Too Close

With the new Q-suite it didn't matter at all that this was a rear facing seat. I flew with my wife (seat 3F) and we could have had a double bed made up ... had I not fallen asleep so easily. The suite provides space, a really comfortable seat that transforms to a fully lie flat bed, a lot of personal storage, good charging options for lap-top and phones and a large HDD screen. Overall the best business class package I have seen. The Qatar staff on the plane were excellent and could not have done more to make the flight enjoyable (and certainly made up for really poor service at check-in and the simply awful Premium Plaza First Class Lounge).

This comment covers both an Airbus and Boeing as two flights were taken from SIN to JNB. Having flown extensively on the African continent and one in the Pacific the comfort and service received on Qatar is far superior to any other carrier used, I am of the opinion that the Economy seating could be enlarged for extra comfort but at the same time understand that it is about the economics of such a consideration. Ultimately in comparison to other carriers Qatar remains superior.

There is no storage space at all. And the risk that passengers passing the seat bumo into you because the aisle becomes narrow here.

absolutely terrible this layout 3x43x. Too narrow and a mass of people. The plane when full is so heavy it drops out of the air when landing. Definitely NOT a 5 star service.

This is a spacious seat with overhead locker opposite instead of above allowing quick access upon departure. It is beside air hostess meal preparation area and the toilets directly behind pilot cabin but it was very quiet and I slept for six hours comfortably . Well done Qatar

Qatar Airways new 10-abreast setup in Economy Class Boeing 777-300 is a total disaster. Someone has described it as crime against humanity, and after trying it out I can only agree. I was very determined when I asked the travel agent to book an aisle seat, but that didn't help much. The seats are hard and narrow, and you don't really know where to place your elbows. I am by no means a broad person, but I am Scandinavian, and we aren't as tiny as many people in Asia. From flying just 6 hours from Copenhagen to Doha I got severe back and neck pain from sitting in a wrong, forced position. I will never fly this aircraft and this configuration again. I have flown Thai Airways in a 9-abreast configuration, which was perfectly comfortable, and will be very aware of avoiding any 10-abreast configuration, except for the Airbus 380. On the return trip to Doha I sat in 11C one way and 19H the other way. The experience was similiar.

armrest immovable , horrible seat, narrow and v uncomfortable

Very comfortable seat. Nice and quiet, but this might've been because flight wasn't full. Very pleasant, smooth flight.

7/11/2018, seat 29F

On the positive side the seat has the same recline as other rows and as there is no one behind there is no need to bring you seat back up when meals are served. It's not the most comfortable seat I've travelled on and I'm glad it was only for a 7 hour flight.

Excellent personalized check in by a sweet natured lady. Extreme punctuality and excellent service.

Ok so I fly Qatar where I can all the time and fly them a fair bit in last two years. I tried this flight deliberately as it was a 777 and have mainly flown A380 and A350 with Qatar and also to get a morning arrival in Sydney. I don't often get disappointed with Qatar but this time got annoyed with check in information. When I checked in at Bucharest on my first leg I asked if anyone was next to me on the second leg as I am a big guy, they said no, seats were blocked. I thought great. Got on board window left hand side economy, 17A and find that I do get two people next to me. I said to stewardess could she do something and she apologised and asked cabin manager and they said the front row in the middle of cabin just behind business class dividers was free. I said thanks and moved to 10E aisle seat just behind business class. Seat was excellent for legroom as you can stretch legs right out and also stand easily to stretch if need be. Service was excellent at front of economy getting everything first in that seat and short walk to toilets behind. Only thing is it is a baby row and you may get a young baby who cries all the way. Only problem was this row has the IFE screen in the seat armrest and it folds out and up and doesn't quite sit at the right angle and screen very old and dull. Rest as usual is exceptional, with the attention to detail from cabin staff spot on. The 777 for me though seems a little old and tired, maybe I just prefer Airbus planes.

2/28/2018, seat 17F

Very good service, good entertaiment, good food and wonderfull indulgencies. Congrats!!! :-)

1/29/2018, seat 18K

The benefits of this seat are the extra legroom however the seat is narrower, the armrest immoveable, there is nowhere to store belongings and no window.
