Flight DOHA to Manchester. Seats 7E and F are adjoining rear facing Q seats in the centre, we were assigned these instead of our booked seats further forward due to an ' aircraft change'. These seats are very noisy due to their proximity to the galley, for much of the night there was noise and talking, and this became much worse from 3 hours prior to landing due to breakfast preparation. Not good seats at all.
Beautiful cabin and q suites are pretty much like first class. Amazing Keep in mind 40% are rear facing.
Wow. I always thought no one could surpass Pan Am or Lufthansa- Qatar is exceptional. What an incredible suite! And if you're traveling with a companion, it's still an incredible experience if you prefer a window seat. Incredible product.
I was assigned to seat no 2J (Business Class) and when I was embarked and seated, the flight attendant informed me that the seat is absolutely not moving, and if I need to change the sitting position to lay down I have to ask the flight attendant to do it manually. I didn’t accept this, as is not practical solution for long journey flight (with connection rout) and it is against the aviation safety regulations, as in case of emergency the flight attendant may not be available to adjust the seat manually. After long discussion with Qatar Airways representative and without moving forward, as he insisted that the flight is full and there are no vacant seat, and I have to accept the situation as it is, I got frustrated, and I demanded to De-embark from the air plane, down load my luggage and reschedule me to the next available Qatar airways flight traveling to Doha. At this point, he agree to move me to another seat (seat 8A), which was; a) the seat next to the jet engine, that was so noisy that I couldn’t sleep. b) the seat facing the rear of the air craft (my original preferred seat 2J was facing cockpit). I was disappointed and devastated when it came to my knowledge that there were couple of seats vacant in the business class, but Qatar Airways upgraded the over booked economy class passengers to fill it and hence became unavailable. The Qatar Airways personal was full a aware of the issue in seat 2J, yet they assign it to a business class passenger whom paid full fare business class ticket of amount of 8,189 USD. It is crystal clear that Qatar Airways just wanted to make more profit despite the comfort of its customers. This is absolutely not professional behavior by Qatar Airways, as the staff knew about the problem in seat 2J ahead of time and yet they did not take an action to call the Engineer to repair the seat, nor did informed the passenger about the problem in the seat before boarding the airplane. This shouldn’t happen in air carriers that just recently won the World’s Best Business Class award of the year. I raised an offical complain to Qatar Airways Office in Doha, and the Senior Customer Relations Officer of Qatar Airways offered me a Qmiles worth 46 USD as compenstion, which I declined the offer. I paid full fare for the tickets, and I should get the service I deserve it. Note: No feedback from Qatar Airways received since I declined the offer more than five months ago.!!!
This is a rear facing seat where the window is misaligned with the seat. The only window is a bit farther to the rear of the aircraft and the only view it provides is that of the entire wing and nothing else.
Flight LAX-DOH in 8K. Seat is in rear business (QSuite) cabin. Storage cabinet behind seat is accessed occasionally during flight, and is noticeably noisy when the door is closed. Suite has 2.5 windows (one is shared with the next suite) and the view is pretty much blocked by the engine and wing. Noise level from the engine is loud but can be "white noise" for sleeping. Mattress pad is thin and provides no padding. The seat was hard and not comfortable when reclined fully for sleep.
