Actually, A,C,D&G are also part of this review, but in all honesty have never sat in them, yet. Row 1 is better than 2 only by dint of not having a reclining seat back in front of you which will move your IFE screen around. Lots of legroom despite being on a bulkhead where you generally lose the under-seat foot space like in Econ. Never a problem with overhead space and we have a habit of boarding late. All the outlets / audio jacks needed. Lots of room to shift about. Our only Go-To seats as they are All Good, All the Time. (we book our holidays to get the A330-X both ways) No comments on service or food as that is NOT what SeatGuru is about.
We had difficulty pre booking seats, however upon sharing this info and adding that we wanted to sit together with the check in clerk, we were up graded to a more suitable location.
The seat actually has more legroom than the other seats, and you also have some more space as it's the first row of pairs of 2 seats. You also have an extra seat pocket as there's 3 seats in front
We were pleased with choosing Econo Flex however at weigh in scale were told our bag was too heavy. We had weighed it with scale at home. $75. Charge seems very expensive😖😟 We did not t realize that no snacks were available unless paid for. Only one small drink & asked for water near end of trip but told “ Bar closed “. We did not try the seat recline as we watched a movie. Think next year we will try Club Class.? This is the first time we have used Air Transat.to Mexico. Usually fly West Jet.. your prices were better.👍
So far very good, except we are going to be late leaving. Now 7:15 and we are still heading to de icing before flight that was supposed to leave at 6:45
first of 2 x2 and more leg room than standard economy, with space beside to extend a leg if necessary, for no premium fee. good economy seat.
Air transat flight very uncomfortable seat Very tight .. no place to move or stretch leg
Narrow seat with bulkhead in front. A poor choice of seat for tall people as you cannot put your feet under a seat in front of you. I suffered a 9hr flight in this seat and wished I sat somewhere else.
When i read the reviews on forehand before flight we were a little bit disapointed , but The service was excellent in the plane, the seats are not so bad as in several reviews and the offered food was sufficient. The controlled temperature behind the curtain was perfect. Price / quality is perfect
Although this seat by the chart comes with a warning sign, it was a good seat, you occasionally heard the bathroom door from those who have no clue how to open or close but otherwise a good seat.
Seat to hard , very in comfortable for a long flight . Usually enjoy to flight with Airtransat always option plus , this time no drink offered. Staff not very sympathetic.
payed for up grade but found it not worth the money Paid.Seats were hard and to small .Leg room was only marginally better.Would not recommend to any one wanting more comfort on long flight.
Although these seats were against a bathroom wall, the proximity posed no problems. I had lots of leg room, but seat was extremely hard, and the 5+ hour flight was difficult because of this. Newer plane, but not planned for butt comfort! I suppose that even a few ounces of padding in each seat adds weight re fuel costs! ;-) Being near the front made for a quick exit, upon arrival. Service was very good, but breakfast options were not inspiring. We took bacon sandwiches, and muffins of our own, after reviewing them online.. NOTE: Companion's seat 7C was constantly being bumped, by both crew and passengers, as it protrudes into the aisle more than others.
I paid CDN$90 to upgrade to this exit row seat and I mostly regret that expense. The window seats (A and K) in these aisles have a large box in front of them which contains a life raft. Unlike your immediate neighbours in B or J, you cannot stretch your feet out much further than can in a normal coach seat. If you are with someone close in B or J, you can push your feet into their space (which is generous), but Transat’s narrow seats make it hard to twist your body for this purpose. Putting your feet up on the boat box would actually be quite good, but you are told over and over (first on the phone, then in person) that you must not do this. In addition, in order to have a blanket for this overseas flight, you need to pay an additional $9. That falls below minimum service, IMO. The food was worse than most airline food, and the air hosts seemed utterly unconcerned with their passengers. Two were gabbing over the cart as it passed, and ignored me saying, “Hello!” three times to them, so I didn’t get my drink.
Air crew were fine, seating TIGHT, we paid Evo Max which said UNLIMITED soft drinks, we got one can between us both and it was warm. My chicken dinner was lovely, my friends pasta just about inedible. Q was far to long and complicated at Toronto and not much better at Manchester with not enough signs
There is a protrusion from the exit door that restricts leg room.
This is my second flight on an Air Transat a330. The aircraft is a delight to fly in, very smooth.
Plane is ok nothing special. 2by2s are ok. but the leather seats are terrible and very uncomfortable. They really should be replaced. Air Transat food is terrible, especially the sandwiches and stuffed pizza pockets. Eat before your flight.
Review is for seats 4A/B/C & 4H/I/J Row 4 is bulkhead seating which you pay more for but so worth the extra charge. 4A is window, B is middle and C is aisle right behind Club Class - there was so much leg room is was actually hard to grab your stow away luggage under the Club seat in front of you. 4 H/I/J are also window/middle & aisle same leg room which is ample. Table trays and individual TV's are stowed in the arm rest which pull up easily. Seats are well worth the extra charge and have more leg room than club class. Seat pitch is ok - for a 7 1/2 hour flight from Punta Cana - Edmonton was very comfy even in the middle seat. Bulkhead seats which are in the middle and believe they are D/E & F do not have as much leg room. Great seats!
My wife and I were very disappointed and shocked when we sat in our seats! We paid $80 each for exit seats and we were in front of a wall and my long right leg was in the way of the food and beverage cart! It took 90 minutes to get a beverage! 3 employees ignored the service button too!
