30D and 30G do NOT have extra legroom, although Lufthansa sells them as extra legroom at their counter
Flew Business Class FRA-TPA on 1-12-18. Yep only 3 rows of Business Class and it was packed. I was in Seat 2H. Seat was a bit hard yet comfortable enough. Service, Food and IFE were great. LH should consider upgrading this route to a A350. Arrival at TPA was very easy.
It is a bulkhead seat, which means nobody reclines in front of you but less leg space. Do not recommend for tall people. 4D/E/G seem to have a bit more legroom and therefore preferred.
The legroom of this seat is actually smaller than standard premium economy seats due to the class divider ahead. Furthermore, the screen is significantly smaller than normal premium economy seats due to its location in the armrest. Would choose D,E,G over this seat if opting for row 4
I actually sat in 11D - it seems the image here has the rows off by one. I sat in a row of four seats right behind the bulkhead row of three seats. D was the way to go here - extra leg room because there was not a whole seat in front of me, but still a little bit of under seat storage available. This also meant that I didn't feel cramped when the person in front of me put her seat back. The TV is in the seat in front and to the right (also D). This means that the headphone cable does hang a bit in front of the person next to you (seat E). The table is in the armrest, so it also does not move when the person in front reclines their seat. This whole row has tables in the armrest. G has the TV in the armrest as well, and people occasionally bumped into it on their way to the bathroom.
Great seat, roomy, nice recliner& separate area from economy.
Business Class to Philadelphia. Perfect service and good food. One of the best business class flights I had so far.
Even though it is in the middle row, this seat is really comfortable. Would strongly recommend it. In this middle row, the space for the legs is bigger then in the side seats (so bigger A/D or H/K) making the "premium" part in name really worthit. Also, being separated from the Economy class makes this section much quiter then the usual premium Eco.
great seat, easy acces but if your taller than 1.75 i would not choose the bulkhead seats !if you fully recline your feet get jammed between the foot support and the bulkhead . very quiet plane , service on board was impeccable !
This Premium Economy seat is not really Premium. The leg space is really limited, probably not more than the bulkhead seats in Economy, due to the class divider.
Seat is OK but a bit complicated. Access to the headphones socket is very hard if you have big hands. Donald Trump would have no problem. Very easy to loose items into...yes..into the seat. Service was impeccable
On this plane, the center seats are pitched in towards each other to the extent that it is easy for neighbor's feet to intrude into the foot recess. This is very uncomfortable when one is traveling alone! The seat was reasonably comfortable, but the cabin feels cramped for business class and seems long in the tooth.
The planes of this configuration are the oldest A340s in the LH-fleet. They have been reconfigured to carry almost 300 passengers and are showing a "Star Alliance"-livery - not Lufthansa. Before the refit, the place which are now rows 11 to 18 used to be Business Class. The refurbishment added new seats, a state-of-the-art IFE, Wifi and power-outlets on all places. However, there is very little space between the seats in Economy and the overhead console was not adjusted to the extra rows of seats. This means, not all seats have reading lights in the proper place. A fully tilted seat back in the row before you will bring the IFE-screen very close to your face. Onboard service was exemplary
