Standard short haul LH group aircraft with standard seats and due to catering´s strike with bad service (without snacks).
The flight is a new service from Frankfurt to Pune, India. Sold as a business class seat, the seat provided was 2A with free 2B and 2C. The seat is nowhere close to premium economy, let alone business as the seats are slimline, little padding, minimal legroom, no entertainment and minimal comfort. Lufthansa tries to make it up by providing a voucher for free Internet that doesn't work during several portions of the flight and 10K in additional miles. If you are seeking business class travel, do not bother with this leg.
Not exactly the comfort most people would expect, but it was a pretty decent seat for a short flight.
20 year old bird, but very clean and quiet comfortable. Seat pitch is OK for shorter flights.
Standard economy seat, just fine for short (Max 3 hrs) hour trips.
Good economy seat with some space between wall and seat. Legroom okay for 1-hour-flight.
The last row of Businesse Class in Lufthansa NEK-configuration was quite noisy, as directly behind your seat begins the Economy-cabin, separated only by a movable curtain. You have three people behind you making noise and pulling on the seat. Thus, the last seat row of Business Class in all LH-narrowbodies should be marked yellow. It was remarkable, that people in Business Class in both of my flights prefered being together in row 1 to an empty row in the rear part of the Business Class-cabin. Now I know, why!
I am a big guy so struggle with economy seat at the best of times. The padding on the seat is non existent and every time anyone moves in the seat the back bends.. Width and seat belt length was ok for a change!
I've sat on NYC public buses and subways with more comfortable seating. Slimline seat with no padding to the extreme. Row 16 was designated as a Handicap Row, and seemed to have a greater pitch as my 6'3" frame had a lot more room at the knees than a 30" pitch would normally provide.
Row 4 was first row Economy. Seat 4F of my plane inclined spontaneously ( often happens ) although I'm only a 90kg guy. Sorry for the guy behind me, couldn't do anything about it. Enough space for leggs and arms, service in time and OK. No movies or music.
