Originally I booked seat on Airbus 340 2-4-2 but Lufthansa replaced it with brand new 350 3-3-3. I was excited to try new model but after 9 hours flight MUC-EWR can't recommend it. Seat is not only narrow but suffers from design flaws such as hard and short cushion, non-existing lumbar support and annoying obstructions in knee space. Last one makes 31" pitch worse than 30" I had on previous fight. Excellent IFE and window view are nice distractions but food was below average as well. So don't fly Lufthansa in economy if you can.

Seats 27 D, E, and G are often booked by passengers with infants as a bassinet can be hung on the wall in front. Expect crying in nearby seats like 28 H, I, etc. Additionally, the aisle seats have restricted foot width compared to the center seat due to a support brace.

Chicago O'Hare to Munich (DE). Wow, okay I like aisle seats so there is severe bias here and I just do pure economy. First time on an A350-900 and I was impressed with both the low noise (at the back of the plane, in relative terms) combined with the overall stability of the aircraft (at the back of the plane - as in, drinks don't fly around in space when you hit moderate turbulence). For a moderately-sized to smallish-framed adult, there is a reasonable/slightly-surprising level of space especially when reclining the seat (again in relative terms for an economy seat; the tall cabin adds to the perception of space). Of course, for a moderately-sized to small-framed adult, it maybe a good idea to bring an additional pillow for (your own) seat comfort. Heaps of overhead storage. Cabin pressure, humidity and temperature were set just right (for me anyway) so I did not feel like a desiccated husk with a hangover on arrival. Classic Lufthansa economy service.

There is no overhead storage for rows 39-40-41 all over the different seats

Seat 36G is a standard seat without any more pro- or cons than already said by other people. However, the A350 of Lufthansa is really bad: The seats are ultra narrow and the seat-configuration with 3-3-3 is a pain. OK, I understand that with steadily decreasing airfare prices, they have to add another seat per row, but this is really, really, narrow now. The situation could have been made a little better if they had chosen 2-5-2 seat configuartion rather than 3-3-3. Then, there would at least have been only 1 really bad "double-excuse-me" seat per row (the middle one) and not 2 of them (the ones at the windows). In addition, the person sitting in the middle could distribute the "excuse me"-s to the left and right of the seat, not having to disturb the same people every time, he/she must get up. This alone would add to the comfort in Economy without any additional costs for Lufthansa. In summary: this (and the B787) is the worst aircraft to be on at present! Fly the A340 if you can chose (it still has the 2-4-2 seat config).

LH Premium Economy seats offer 3 cm more width and approximately 20 cm more legroom than ordinary economy seats. Wider armrests contribute to comfort and in fact it's difficult to hit the neighbour's elbow while seated. The seat is hard and the amount of recline is limited; it also lacks a proper leg support, having only a foldable foot rest to offer. For the day flight to BOS it was ok but I would not recommend it for the night flight to MUC. The limited recline and lack of leg- and lumbar support makes it uncomfortable for sleeping. The choice of seat linings and colours makes a very good impression, the rest of the plane's internal finishing is - under the aesthetic point of view - bland and impersonal. There is a welcome drink, served in plastic cups and that is all about the extra service compared to eco. The food served is nondescript at best. There is no boarding priority nor any other perk compared to eco, however LH ground personnel was OK with me carrying both my cabin trolley and my document case on board - it may be standard policy or just kind personnel. It's obvious how LH tries to keep a healthy distance between this class of service and the Business, and this brings to the point: is it worth flying Premium Eco? I have paid less than half than the C fare made available to me, but almost double as the Eco fare (I do not remember which). If double the money is worth the difference, it's a question.
