extra knee space, however, same width as standard seats, so you still feel like a t-rex with no room for shoulders or elbows.
I flew the United 737-800 from SJC-EWR and back from IAD-SFO, and found it to be alright for a domestic flight. The legroom was just enough for someone 511, and I had just about an inch to spare. Regarding in flight entertainment, I enjoyed the Personal Device Enteratainment that United now offers on all flights. There is a nice selection of reasonably priced food to purhcase, and I enjoyed my snackbox on the way there and pizza on the return. The flight attendants were relatively friendly, and good. Overall, I wouldnt want to spend more than six hours in this plane, but for domestic legs, it does its job.
Tail #N25201 - WORST economy plus seat ever on United. There is a wall all the way to the floor, preventing you from extending your feet and legs at all. United should NOT sell this as a premium seat. It has as much leg room as the front row of a CRJ-200. You have more leg room in the last row of the cabin.
The window is slightly more forward than regular, but this allowed me to recline and use the solid bulkhead to rest against for the red-eye flight. With the extra leg room, would gladly take this seat again.
I flew EWR to TPA in seat 4A on the N78501. Great legroom and space. It seemed that row 4 has slightly more legroom than the rest of the rows in first class. It also has good recline even with the bulkhead wall behind the seat. Highly recommended
Can't believe I paid a $99 surcharge for this seat. This seat's misaligned window cost me about 3" of shoulder space and made it uncomfortable to lean away from my neighbor. I kept hunching my shoulders like I was in a middle seat. I couldn't sleep on the flight as planned.
Flew DEN->PIT on UA1206. This was a terrible old bird. The ceiling was low and seemed like it was falling down. The seats reclined maybe 1.5 inches. This was a flight from 10am to 4pm and they didn't serve lunch, not even for sale. The plane was horrible, but same goes for all B737s. All in all, UA seemed to be trying to do well with this plane, but if they were, it didn't work. United should replace their 737s with A320s. I flew UA773 out to Denver a week earlier and it was so much better. Cabin crew, amid all of this, was very good. Overall, well done United, shame on Boeing.
Phenomenal legroom, as the bulkhead in front of row 7 does not extend all the way to the floor. You're also permitted to store baggage under the bulkhead, making this by far the most desirable row in Economy Plus.
